Have you heard of Ara: History Untold? Its systems of Ages, Diplomacy, City management etc. are very similar to Civ VII. But where Civ tries to dumb it down and have a very flat learning curve for a beginner, Ara seems to be taking a different approach and offer a more in-depth 4x experience along with the dynamic world visuals.
