And thank you so much to Bellesa for sponsoring last week's video too! I discussed certain celebrities who are frequently cited as autistic...but have actually never been open about a diagnosis. Some of them appear on numerous listicles (particularly on ABA websites??!!) and the only evidence is 'they look a bit socially awkward'! It's a little invasive. Imagine appearing on a listicle for a random diagnosis you don't identify with! Doesn't that perpetuate the idea that someone can 'look' autistic? Some of them may be neurodivergent, but it makes me a bit sad that we highlight undiagnosed/identified people when we have openly autistic celebrities to look up to. I'd love to know your thoughts!

I’m a 28 year old late-diagnosed autistic (& ADHD) woman from the UK. Without YouTube, I never would’ve discovered that I am autistic. So now I’m returning the favour! I want to share videos that will help others discover their own neurodivergence and also videos about what to do post this new self-discovery. Post-diagnosis support for autistic adults is scarce. You’re autistic, which is great information to have, but…now what? Is there medication you could take? Is your career right for someone like you? Should you go self-employed? How do you tell your parents? Your employer? And what do you do if they don’t take you seriously?
Basically...how can you use this knowledge to create a life that really emphasises your strengths and minimises your struggles?
I’m still figuring it out! Let’s learn together ♥️
