I don't like warrior cats!
Yeah, that'll be hard to explain.
I know it probably comes entirely out of nowhere to most of you, and I can't blame you, I've been posting warrior cats content and warrior cats content only, what happened that suddenly changed my opinion so drastically?
Truth be told, I wanted out of the fandom for the past year, but I was too deep into the lie. 2,5k subs, a small but tight-knit community, and a few ongoing maps and map parts waiting to be done, I felt like I just couldn't leave everything I've built for the past 4 years, even if I didn't achieve much I couldn't bring myself to throw it all away.
But I stopped reading the books 3 years ago, and I progressively started to dislike and grow bored of warrior cats, I spent all my free time making content for a fandom I didn't want to be in, instead of making stuff that I actually want. The only thing I enjoyed and still do is map hosting but everything else made me feel miserable and stuck.
But I couldn't just move on to something else, I've built this channel on warrior cats and a change of content would probably kill it, people aren't here for my art, they are here for warrior cats. People aren't here to see my original characters, they are here to watch warrior cats content. So I kept on going, trying to make myself enjoy waking wc content at least a little bit.
Yeah, I can't anymore.
A big part of being an artist is moving on, trying something else, that is, after all, the best way to expand your horizons and improve. So I think it's time for me, to move on, make something different, and take on a new approach because if I keep forcing myself to stay I will be forever stagnant.
So what's the future of this channel?
I'm not sure quite yet, I do want to start making OC related content, however, I do realize that if I do that it won't be met with much traction, but I think I am ready to take that risk. Expect short animations, animation memes and maybe in the future full animatics. It might be messy and inconsistent as I will be trying to find my footing but for those who want to stay for that, I promise I'll try to make it worth it.
I will host at least 2 more maps, it might be the main content on the channel for a while as I figure out what exactly I want to do with my ocs. So some more warrior cats content will appear.
For now, thank you for reading. I hope that even if I won't stick to warrior cats content some of you will still stay.
