Maddie is an evidence-based voice specialist focused on helping YOU (fabulous voice teacher, you) bridge the gap between voice science and practical application from a popular music/contemporary standpoint. On this channel we work to prioritize understanding the anatomy and function of the voice, staying on top of the most up to date research, promoting vocal health, collaborating with other ped-professionals, and breaking down the harmful systems that have run rampant in our industry.
Maddie received her MM in Voice Pedagogy - Commercial Contemporary Track from Shenandoah University, her MFA in Acting from the University of Central Florida, and her BA in Musical Theatre from Weber State University in Utah. She currently serves on the voice faculty for Shenandoah University's Musical Theatre and CCM programs as well as running her flagship teacher certification courses "Voice Function 101" and "Mechanics of Mix and Belt".
