BREAKING! A special NIA-Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) court in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday awarded life sentence to 12 people, including renowned Maulana Kalim Siddiqui and Islamic Da'wah Centre founder Mohammed Umar Gautam, in a 2021 case of an βillegalβ religious conversion racket.
Judge Vivekanand Sharan Tripathi, in his order, gave a 10-year jail sentence to four others.
Over 1,000 people had converted to #Islam via their efforts.

π¨ Maulana Abul Hossain Alamin of Kishoreganj, who went missing from his Madrassah in Gazipur 19 months ago, has reportedly been killed by inhumane torture in a secret prison by the notorious Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
After the fall of Hasina's dictatorship, the matter has been confirmed after conducting extensive investigations in all prisons and missing cells in the past month, according to prominent Bangladeshi scholar Maulana Harun Izhar.
Since 2016, this notorious CTTC force has been detaining innocent Madrassah students, teachers and scholars in secret prisons. Many have been tortured, killed and forcibly disappeared in the name of combating terrorism.
The Bangladeshi government must abolish this notorious unit.

π¨ Britain will suspend 30 of its 350 arms export licenses to Israel due to a "clear risk" that the equipment could be used to "commit serious violations of international humanitarian law," according to Foreign Minister David Lammy.
"This is not a blanket ban, this is not an arms embargo," Lammy stated in parliament. "We do not take this decision lightly."
He also stressed that the suspension does not include parts for the F-35 fighters, which are among Israel's preferred aircraft for bombing #Gaza.

π¨ Two women have been arrested for protesting against Israelβs ongoing atrocities in #Gaza, marking the first time in the #Maldives that arrests have been made for such demonstrations.
The women, Aishath Shadhiya, the wife of prominent scholar Dr Mohamed Iyaz, and Dr Shazra Ibrahim, were protesting daily near the British Embassy, the German Embassy, the UN Offices, and the residences of the British and Saudi ambassadors.
Aishath Shadhiya and Dr. Shazra Ibrahim were arrested from Male on August 28. They were remanded in custody of the police for three days.
They were presented before the Criminal Court for an extension to their remand on Sunday, in a closed hearing.
The court ordered for them to be remanded in custody of the police for another five days.

β οΈ BREAKING! 70 Muslim women were taken from their homes at night by law enforcement officers last week, primarily in Tashkent, #Uzbekistan.
The raids were mostly conducted at night and some of the women were forcibly taken in their nightclothes.
These raids were carried out through monitoring Islamic Telegram groups that discussed religious topics. After one person was arrested, the remaining women of the Telegram groups were apprehended one by one.
It is reported that the arrested Muslim women are between 18 and 22 years old. They are currently detained for 10 days and are under investigation.
