True growth-led companies:
- Have a clear north star
- Embrace lean and agile
- Make data-driven decisions
- Build a growth culture
Using AI doesn't make you an AI company.
True AI companies:
- Develop proprietary models
- Continuously train the algorithm with new data sets
- Leverage ML for predictive analysis
- Integrate AI into Core Processes
Having a CRM doesn't make you customer-centric.
True retention means:
- Using customer data to personalize interactions
- Focus on customer lifetime value over quick wins
- Gather regular feedback to refine the customer journey
- Having a clear segmentation strategy
It's like how just having a website does not make you an internet company.
Before we call ourselves and assign ourselves any tags..
We need to master the four levels:
👉 Level 1: The fundamentals
👉 Level 2: The general layer
👉 Level 3: The specialization layer
👉 Level 4: The application layer
This is common across all disciplines.
I've spoken to a number of founders calling their startup as an AI company or a web3 company, while missing most of these layers.
A more accurate statement would be "We use AI in our business" instead of saying "it's an AI business".
Or "we do split testing" instead of saying we're a growth marketing driven company.
And the difference is depth.
You will truly know your place once you have depth.
Find your space, and go deep.

My joy comes from spending time with loved ones ❤️
I use the EDE framework to manage tasks and make more time on my schedule for things that really matter.
Whenever I get a task, it goes through this EDE funnel 👇
🚫 E is for ELIMINATE: Consider whether a task is necessary or providing value. If not, eliminate it from your to-do list altogether.
🙏 D is for DELEGATE: If a task can't be eliminated, see if it can be delegated or outsourced... To humans or AI :)
💪 E is for EXECUTE: If a task can't be eliminated or delegated, execute it based on its importance, urgency, and value.
This is my task funnel.
I'm left with 20% of the tasks that matter the most at the bottom of my EDE task funnel ;)
