Welcome to June, beautiful people.

I don't know who needs to hear this but I will say it anyway:

On my way to work yesterday, my daughter and I were having one of our "life-talk" moments.

And boy!!! Was it profound!!

She taught me so much.

She opened my eyes and mind to a newer level of the "abundance mindset."

Wisdom is not by age, you know...

So, I don't know who needs to hear this, but I will say it anyway:

"You can never get out of your circumstances if you don't think outside of them."- Ihinose Enebi

So, I got this notification from Google that my website,ibinaboenebi.com, has hit 100 clicks from Google search in the last 28 days👏👏.

Naturally, I'm genuinely grateful for it!

When I started my blog in April 2020, I didn't know where it would take me, as my ideas for it kept evolving.

My first gift from Google was that my website was indexed, and most, if not all, of my posts were also indexed!

My initial idea was to leverage my experience as a mother of four to advise mums-to-be on the mistakes to avoid when shopping for their babies, the baby essentials to have, and to review baby products.

I reckoned that post-pandemic, there'll be a "baby boom", hence my first domain name, goshopforbaby.com

After a while, I felt that advising expectant mothers was too restrictive for me.

I wanted to talk to women transitioning from family life and career into finding themselves, which meant changing my domain name to onewomanity.com to reflect my mission.

I had barely settled into the flow of things when I felt the itch, again!! This time, I wanted to talk to humanity.

As a result, I changed my domain name for the third time to ibinaboenebi.com

Around this time, I also set up a website for my show, ibispeak.com

Despite these changes, I posted articles weekly, collaborated with guest writers, and even started a YouTube channel -
youtube.com/@ibispeaks

But around July 2022, life happened ― personal health challenges and workload, among a few others, caused me to pace out myself.

I had to follow my own advice. I told myself that giving one per cent was better than giving nothing.

Although my last post was at the beginning of the year, I knew within myself that I'd start writing again. I'd give my best one per cent.

So, when I saw this notice from Google that even after such a long lull, my website still gained traction, I was delighted and grateful.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but I will say it anyway:

"Keep at it. It will all come together. It may not make sense in the beginning but trust the process. Great things always come in small packages." ― Ibinabo Enebi.

A scenario like the one below is probably familiar to you:

Speaker: "After all I sacrificed for you, this is how you repay me?"

Responder: "I never asked you for help. You offered to help me, so don't blame me for not achieving any success in your life!"

Oooouccchhhhh! That must be painful, right?

Perhaps you or someone you know has experienced something similar.

Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with wanting to help others. After all, the ideals of selflessness, generosity and the willingness to help others were ingrained in us from an early age.

However, there is also the notion that you should put on your oxygen mask first, before helping the one next to you.

Helping others shouldn't mean you have to lose out in the process.

This week on Ibi Speaks, we will continue our series on avoiding the later life crisis with Transformational Coach and Behaviour Analyst, Kelechi Olawoyin, who will speak about: Helping yourself before helping others.

You'll learn how to help others from a place of growth and abundance.

Here are a few insights you'll gain from Kelechi's extensive professional experience:

Self-regulation is the key to avoiding the usual pitfalls

Get a better understanding of how to develop a growth mindset

How to set healthy boundaries for yourself

And much more!

Join us on my YouTube Channel, Ibinabo Enebi, this Saturday at 6 pm London Time and 7 pm WAT.

I can't wait to see you!
