I've got video I'm trying to edit -- this last section of thermo was really tough to handle, I just ended up hand waving and smiling for most of the lecture. I am well, but busy, and I just don't have the time to devote to videos like I thought I might. I hope all of you have a blessed Christmas or whatever you celebrate this time of year. I'll do my best to get you something worth your time and patience!

I've got a new job, so I've been busy away from my recording equipment. I'll try to get a video or two done this weekend. I'll be offsite for the next few weeks so don't expect much from me. Maybe I can get back to a better schedule after this.

With this video, I think I've covered about 90% of all the python code you'll see in the wild. If there's something you've seen that you want me to cover sooner rather than later, let me know. I'll be focusing on the Python class system for the next several videos, and then likely transition into some extremely useful modules, and then into more advanced topics.

I'm not ignoring the Python videos, no really, I'm not. I am on OOP in Python, which I really want to do right. I am worried I'll be guilty of propagating misinformation about how Python really works, but at some point I just have to jump in.

Entropy video is edited and rendering right now. I will upload it tonight and try to get it live tomorrow early AM. Review the last few sections if you want to be caught up on this. We'll be digging into the Einstein Solid and Ideal Gas multiplicities to grasp some of the concepts behind Entropy.

A commentator wrote that they love reading the textbook while watching my videos. I can't express enough how important it is to study the textbooks. Expose your mind to these ideas in as many different formats as possible, and your mind will finally latch onto the concepts! Read the textbook, solve the problems, copy the equations, watch the videos, listen to the lectures, talk with your neighbor, ask questions -- do this and you are GUARANTEED to gain an understanding of the topic, no matter how complicated or difficult it is.

RE my history of thermodynamics series -- I'm reaching out to two carefully selected channels I think would do the topic best, one for philosophy and one for history. My offer is to provide whatever support I can, and I'm not looking for any kind of shout-out. I believe that the subject material itself is interesting in its own right and deserves to be told. I'm crossing my fingers that these two will pan out. If you see me go radio-silent on this topic, that's probably why. Thanks for your patience. I've never done anything like this and it's really exciting.

I'm Jonathan Gardner, and I make videos about Physics, Math and Computer Programming.
My videos are short on entertainment but long on comprehensive information. The goal is to help you develop the skills and understanding to truly understand deep and complex topics.
I graduated in 2000 with a BS in Physics, minor in Math. I have been working in the software industry from 2000-2019. One of my life's goals is to go back to school and earn a PhD in physics.
My goal is to make videos for Physics undergrad students and young professionals who wish they had studied physics.
If you're a student, my videos can help supplement your studies. Maybe I present a topic in a slightly different way, or at the least, just reviewing the material with me will help you remember it and understand it better.
If you're studying Physics in your spare time, watch my videos, discuss it on Discord, do the homework problems, and earn the same skills students earn.
