Hello everyone!

Welcome to the new year! It has been a busy while since I last uploaded but I want to assure you that we’re not dead! We’ve begun the process of animating our next big project, I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all! As a sneak peak here's a teaser of our next project, we’re hoping to upload the teaser within the next couple of weeks.

To everyone who recently found this channel and decided to stick around, thank you!

And to everyone - Thank you! It means the world to us your continued support!

In exciting news, we’ve added a new member ‪@99destroyer_‬ to the team! Which means that we’ll be able to bring you larger projects faster! Please enjoy the complimentary artwork of our new animator, scripter, and editor!

In terms of the current project here's a very brief and current rundown of how it's progressing:

Planning 70% Complete
Scripting 90% Complete
Animation 5% Complete

We look forward to seeing you guys again soon when the trailer for the next animation releases!

Greetings!

We hit 1000 subscribers today! Which I can only assume is because someone at YouTube HQ has set everyone's subscriber count to display in binary. Jokes aside, this is absolutely insane! I quite frankly don't know what to say. If you had told me a year ago that my little hobby projects would gain this much traction, I wouldn't have believed you. Yet, here we are, and I can't thank you all enough.

Thank you for your continued support!

The final showdown is upon us!

The 2nd half of my "Hunt for the Bismarck" project is going live this Friday at 10:00 am EST! I'm trying something new this time around, I'm doing a live premier! We'll see how it goes! What's the worst that could happen? [I said, not realizing how much was about to wrong]

Thank you all for the support!
I plan to do a follow up video about this project, technical aspects, the history, creative decisions etc. Basically explaining why certain things were cut, and the actual nuance and technicalities behind certain events!

If you have any questions for me about the project/the history/story telling choices feel free to leave them in the comments of the video or beneath this community post after the video has gone live.

Thanks again everyone, I hope to see you all on Friday!

Project update! And a community question at the bottom.

Status:
- 80% complete all animations. (though the last 20% are the most complicated shots I've ever attempted)
- Final VO and pacing of the final video need a little bit more work.

Well hello again everyone! I hope you all are doing well!

Part 2 of the Hunt for the Bismarck is coming along well, this is without a shadow of a doubt my best work to-date. I do apologize for the delay, gotta love when Blender decides half of your scene isn't required and deletes it! Generally it goes something along these lines:

- Come back after a long day of classes
- Check my PC to see how the render is doing
- Realize blender has decided to not render an explosion in the scene
- Angrily restart render and wait an additional 25 hours to view final animation

In other news, the collective project files for this project have now reached 200GB in size! Wooo! That does not include the simulated effects which now take up over half of the current space on my PC. RIP.

I've also been working on improving the realism of my animations, with new shaders and effects going forward! This includes new gunfire effects, explosions, artillery hits and the like, some of which you'll be seeing in the second half of this project.

I don't want to spoil anything, but here's a little sneak peak of what I'm working on right now. Battle damaged Bismarck!

Also, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this:
Would you guys be interested in a community discord server? I often upload partial works to my own discord server which includes things like:
- Proof of concept art
- Test animations
- Behind the scenes works
- Experimental works
- General Art, Posters, Wallpapers etc.

It would be a way for those of you who are interested in behind the scenes stuff to see these projects as they come together, while those who don't want the surprise ruined will see only the things I upload publicly. No Patreon or anything required, just those of you who want to see behind the scenes of these projects and access the test works I do while making these projects. It would also be a way to ask me questions if you're interested in getting into this kind of 3D animation yourself.

Anyways, if you guys could give me an idea about how you feel about that I'd greatly appreciate it!
Take care everyone!
Awe5ome.

Free wallpapers! Been testing some new assets and effects with these renders to see how they looked, I’m very happy with the results!

Greetings! (TLDR at bottom)

I have returned from YouTube hibernation! I am super happy to announce that the second half of my "The Hunt for the Bismarck" series is finally starting into the animation phase! I do apologize for the wait, college has been exceptionally busy, and like all hobbies this project will have to take a back seat to my real life studies.

With that out of the way, I finally have had some time to work on the second half to this project. I've been experimenting with new rendering and simulation techniques to try and achieve more realistic results while reducing the time spent rendering/simulating shots. To go along with these new rendering and simulation experiments I've been playing around with a new compositing set up. My current compositing set up should allow me to render more realistic frames in less time when compared to my old setup. I'm still very much a beginner when it comes to 3D work, so I'm constantly trying to improve every shot.

With the way things are going, I'll probably have to buy another SSD hard-drive to store all these project files on. The current water simulation cache for the shots I'm testing these new techniques on is 84GB in size [cries internally]. I can only imagine how large future simulations will get.

Finally, I've decided to update my channel in accordance with my main form of content. The old channel name "Awe5ome" was originally an old nickname I created for a very, very, very old game account. Which at the time was fine for this YouTube channel, since I only uploaded funny game clips and montages. However, considering that most of my content has been shifting away from game footage, and instead towards these 3D history documentaries I feel its appropriate that my channel reflect this going forward. I might still occasionally upload World of Warships game-play videos from time-to-time, but it's no longer the focus of my content.

Instead I've decided to rename this channel after my "Production Company" that I label all my animations with:
TTLP Productions.

What originally started as an inside joke with my animation teacher at the time, standing for "Took Too Long Productions" ended up raking in 55k views on my "Battle off Samar" video. Which I truthfully still can't believe ever happened. Thank you all so much! I never thought that this would happen, and I can't thank you all enough.

TLDR: I have returned, school is very busy. I have finally have begun animating part 2, I'm using new techniques to try and improve the quality of my work. Channel name and Icon have been updated to reflect the future content created for this channel. Thank you all so much for the support, it means everything to me that you find my content (at least slightly) interesting.

I hope all you have a wonderful day!

Update!

Hello hello! It's been a while since my last post, so I want to update you guys on my current project progress. I will be releasing the Hunt for the Bismarck in two parts. The first half will be about the battle of the Denmark Strait, and the second half will be about the pursuit and sinking of Bismarck. I'm almost finished rendering the final shots for the battle of the Denmark Strait. I still have a fair amount of work before this project is published. However, this project is coming together nicely!

Cool, I just unlocked community posts!

Quick update, I have begun work on my next project, the legendary Hunt for the Bismarck! It's still early in this project. However, I'll continue posting updates as work progresses! Right now, I'm still working on the opening shots and the battle in the Denmark Strait.

Thank you all for your support! I'm blown away at the response to my "Battle off Samar" video! Thank you all so much, and take care!
