Hello guys! I am seeing this panic among yall about this military issue and are being worried about Seokjin's wellbeing. So I want to help you guys to understand this sensitive issue and not be panic. The most asked questions.
1. Seokjin's training centre: 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province.
2. Will Seokjin stay alone in his room?- No as per official he is staying in a room along with other 30 trainees.
3. Seokjin's daily routine: Wake up at 6:30 everyday, at 7 or 7:30 on weekend ( depends on the training centre) from 9am to 6 pm he will have training. ( weekends are off days, he can rest, today he is resting )
4. Can we know what's he having as meal or anything? - yes recruiting center posts everyday about the enlisted men's routine and meals to update their families what they are eating or doing. So the ‘menu’/bulletin board that the room manager of the centre updates every day, you can know more about Seokjin’s routine/day there upon checking.
5. For how long Seokjin will train there? - 5 weeks. After his training, he will be deployed to the frontline unit of the army. Edit: the official announced it has become now 6 weeks because of quarantine.
6. Can Seokjin use phone?: Yes, 30 mins a day for now during this 5 week as per the official camp. But it can change later as usually it's not allowed to use phone now.
7. Can he also use phone later after training? - As phones have many apps which are considered to be harmful to army safety rules so phones are prohibited. After Seokjin gets deployed to Frontline generally he can use phone from 6pm to 10pm on weekdays and 7am to 10pm on weekends and holidays. But sometimes the area is also network disabled.
8. Can someone visit him there?- Yes with granted permission his family and loved ones can go visit him.
9. Is there meals good?- Very. He gets healthy and delicious food with proper calories and diet as breakfast, lunch and dinner. He can eat too during training break besides this.
10. Can he have leave or visit his family?- yes after the training ends, but there are restrictions and needs permission. They can get few hours off or can get a night off. But they are not allowed to go too far from the base as they can be called back at any time.
11. Don't they get longer leave? - yes Soldiers can take leave for one week or at most two weeks after being granted. Only this time Seokjin will be able to come to his home or have a vacation. Most soldiers choose holidays season. They get leaves according to where they are being posted. As Seokjin is in army, he is allowed to take 24 days off in one year. Soldiers are allowed to choose when they want to use their leave and want to go on vacation during their period of leave, of course with prior approval grant. And also they can choose not to consume their leaves at all, so it gets subtracted from their service period and they get discharged earlier. So if Seokjin doesn't take any leave he will be back earlier.
12. Will we get to see Seokjin soon or will ever get to see him in these 18 months? - yes after 3 weeks into his training his pictures in army attire will be uploaded by the training center along with other trainees. Once his training ends he will sure be able update us sometimes but with limitations.
13. Will Seokjin be ok?- yes, he is strong and being a Korean it's his national duty. He will fulfill it perfectly and will come back safe and sound.
