I'd like to give thanks to Jesus! I wouldn't be able to do anything worthwhile without Him! I am a Scottish Fiddler from Central Wisconsin and the 2017 US National Scottish Fiddle Champion. My new album, Through the Wood, Laddie, features a selection of original and traditional tunes. The album title comes from an old traditional Scottish tune with the same name. To me it gives an ethos of a wild romantic highland tale. More than that, the title carries a double meaning as I recorded it on my violin, made by Ladislaus Kaplan in 1904, which I affectionately call âLaddieâ. Join me as I travel around the world, from Norway to Uganda to Israel, and discover new and exciting places. Youâll make new friends along the way and get to know some of my own dear family members. Weâll also travel into the realm of grand adventure. Youâll meet beloved figures like Helen Douglas, the Lady of the Lake from Sir Walter Scottâs work of the same title, and Captain Furocious, a daring chipmunk hero.
