Thank you for 10,000 subscribers!!! I'm really touched by all the kind comments and encouragement I have received to keep going. So I will keep going, though my upload schedule will be rather irregular, having to deal with school and other responsibilities. The recent video on determinants took me more than a hundred hours of hard work! So such videos will be less common compared to my video essays, but they will come now and then, as there are beautiful mathematical ideas that I really want to bring to life eventually.

Working on the last few videos means that I have been outputting (creating) a lot more than I've been inputting (reading and learning), so I'm going back into input mode for now — there's still an immense amount of stuff I want to learn. But I'll be back, since there's still a lot I want to say. Thanks again for all the love. This has been fun :)

p.s. feel free to leave comments on topics you'd like to see future videos on! though i can't guarantee anything

Wow! Thank you for 1000 subscribers!! That was way quicker than I expected — I hope to live up to it! For now, I'm still working hard on my upcoming video (see gif), and there's still a lot left to do.

Let me share briefly on what I hope to accomplish with this channel: I want to make animated videos explaining math (very much inspired by 3Blue1Brown). I also want to make video essays on sociocultural aspects of math — about the lived experience of doing math, be it in learning or research, the culture in mathematics, and perhaps also some philosophical explorations. A big interest of mine is the unity of all knowledge; and science and the humanities, while often construed as opposing camps, are most meaningful when brought together to answer the age-old question of who we are and how we should live.

I'm also quite pleased to see so many musicians commenting on my videos — it tells me that I'm doing something right :)

Thank you for 100 subscribers! I am really grateful for all of your support. I'm working on a big video (see image) — it's a video that I've wanted to create for a long long time. It's quite a lot of work, and I'm hoping to get it done by the end of February. Stay tuned.

:)
