I am fascinated by how things sink into our subconscious. When building the cardboard castle I definitely was influenced by a little church that I stumbled on in Florence; maybe it was pisa. I forget now exactly what city it was in. But it was along the bank of a river, and a beautiful suprise. That series of statues ended up making an appearance in the cardboard castle. Tomorrow I will be posting a video about the world's greatest cardboard castle. It is completed! Yay! It took me over a year to finish it and it includes over 50 lights, two motors, three servos and a whole lot of wire. I came up with a whole bunch of creative ways to use cardboard while making this castle.

I have modified my pilgrim scallop shell. And will be posting a video about this. I like it. Let me know what you think. One of duties of a knight's Templar was to protect pilgrims on their journey.

Coming tomorrow is the Highlander Kurgan sword. The thing that attracted me to this project is those two pointy spikes. They pop out on the real sword so I made them to pop out on this sword. Rubber band powered.

I am working on a new sword project. It is the Kurgan sword from Highlander. And those two angled spikes will trigger just like the real sword. Rubber band powered!

Been training for my Pilgrimage by walking six days a week. It's going great. And I am wandering all over the city. Found this in front of a church. Had to add my goal "Walk the Camino"!!

Okay! I finished the Highlander sword and it came out great. Editing the tutorial now but that's about six hours of work so... tutorial coming tomorrow!

A subscriber suggested through a comment that I make a highlander sword. Great idea. Working on it today,. Hopefully tutorial goes live today. Fun project. I love the highlander stuff :)

I had a subscriber leave a comment requesting the Highlander sword. I have given this some thought. And it's a great idea. I will take it to another level and do three Highlander swords including the katana, the Mcleod sword and the Kurgan sword because it has the unique triggered blades in the crosspiece. Bought a whole bunch of foam board sheets and will start on them today.
