Many hours of the complete and uninterrupted original CNBC broadcast (in 10 min segments) beginning at 8:34am the morning of September 11, 2001.

The commentary is fascinating, with the late Mark Haines at his very best.

The WSJ's John Bussey's unique observations on the collapse of the south tower can be found starting at minute 7 of video #20, where Bussey observes:

"the fire was raging in both buildings, I looked up at the South building, the second World Trade Center to be hit and explosions were coming down the building it looked as if charges had been set on each floor and they were in succession going off, now this is probably not what was happening it just looked that way to me the building blew out floor by floor and it probably had something to do with the structural damage with the planes hitting it, when I saw the floor by floor explosions happening ..."

In video #16 (11am) a GE structural engineer provides an explanation for the two towers that collapsed less than one hour before.

The majority of the broadcast was from the perspective of CNBC reporters and guests, on a few occasions they simulcast MSNBC and the local NBC affiliate.

There is no advertising or commercial aspect to the posting of these videos, they are presented as a unique glimpse of an important and tragic time in history.
