Latest Facebook Marketplace find...Kodak 2200 camcorder and Kodak 2020 cradle from 1984. Was this the FIRST 8mm camcorder to be sold in the United States? Based on my research, Kodak started selling these in the States @ November of 1984. What do you think? Leave a comment below 'cause I would like to know.

The great white whale of Super Beta decks. One of these recently sold for over $1500 US on ShopGoodwill. Just crazy!
I purchased the manual on eBay for the fun of it.

I had no idea there were still FireWire cards out there for modern day computers. Don’t worry. I didn’t pay $50 at Microcenter. Instead, I ordered a $20 card on Amazon.

We were recording more Sharp Viewcam test footage today for our Viewcamapalooza episode.
Our retro tech model, Kaitlyn, joined us once again as we tried to squeeze the best possible images from
four of my nine viewcams.
The first two image compare a Sharp SD20u viewcam against our modern day Nikon Z6 studio camera.
I did my best to quickly color balance the 650 against the Z6. Looks pretty good, right?
The third image is from a Sharp VL-E650 Viewcam and the 5th image is from a VL-H410U.

I’ve learned a lot about Sharp’s Viewcams over the past 24 hours. Some good and some bad. That being said…with a scrim jim and a grid cloth, my Sharp VL-H410u did a good job at recording Kaitlyn’s test footage.
