It all started with the Darbuka. I fell for its personality & all it could do, largely b/c I am Egyptian-Lebanese.Today I specialize in the drums of the Levant, Arab Gulf, North Africa & Iran and play a wide range of World Percussion, Hybrid Kits & Drum Set. I perform extensively in the U.S. & abroad with various groups, one of which just won the 2019 Global Music Awards' Gold Medals for Best Ensemble & Best Album and the 2020 Independent Music Award for Best Album. I am a NAMM artist for the aFrame by ATV & an advisory board member for HLAG. I am also a passionate teacher & founded a unique percussion ensemble. I hope you get value here, thanks for stopping in!
