My next videos will address common questions I get from new viewers: How does a monome work? What is a monome? and Why do I use a monome? Monome explanation videos are complex to produce because very often I need to present two simultaneous video sources: one camera on the device, and another video source that is a screen capture or another camera. Often I'm also recording the audio output. This all makes the workflow and editing cumbersome.
The first video, how does a monome work is mostly shot and edited, I just have to record the final voiceover. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it this weekend. I have some unbroken time next week to work on other projects. I may choose to go ahead with another video, or work on a music-related project.

I figured out why OBS was downsampling my output resolution. Future streams should be higher quality.

Recorded audio directly into the Canon EOS-R today. Audio isn't a high priority for what this camera is used for, so I've been highly suspicious of noisy preamps and invisible limiters and noise reduction, but I gave it a shot because the workflow would be soooooo much easier without having to record on a separate device and then line up the audio.
