Maati is back with an exciting week of screenings in Lahore. We are bringing you a three-episode web series on the impact of social media on public discourse within online spaces in Pakistan.
Each episode is an in-depth exploration of a specific aspect of social media and AI accountability which will also function as a tool kit for media literacy.
The events are free and anyone interested can join with their friends and family!

Dyal Singh played a promiment role in reforming education in Lahore. His philanthropic work continues to empower the youth to receive an education. This film looks at his major contribution i.e. the founding of the Dyal Singh College in Lahore in 1910. It is one of the first colleges in Punjab to offer higher education in English.
The college is focused solely on promoting educating the youth of Pakistan, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

Maati TV is Pakistanās first web-based interactive video platform to create advocacy and awareness on climate justice, equal citizenship, cultural diversity, and peacebuilding themes. It is a product of the Interactive Resource Centre (IRC), an info media organization that uses art-based development tools to create self-empowerment opportunities for youth and marginalized communities.
Maati employs various digital and on-ground storytelling tools to create safe spaces for critical discourse among the Pakistani youth. These include but are not limited to podcasts, explainer videos, interactive theater, citizen journalism, community events, capacity-building workshops, and awareness campaigns.
