It was first the Black Sea that opened my eyes to the underwater world. Since I live in Bulgaria my first snorkeling was on a bright sunny day on a rocky beach in the silent sea at Bulgaria's southern coast. I got into the water following a sandy underwater path surrounded by rocks and Cystoseira forests. There were fishes, blennies, pipefishes, comb jellies, even a dice snake (Natrix tessellata). On the rocks hermit crabs that graze in the colourful algae gardens. Everywhere oxygen bubbles were rising from the seaweed forest. It was amazing.
Since then I keep on exploring the amazing facets of creation in the sea...
