On August 23rd, 2005 Suge Knight and Kurupt released Against Tha Grain on Death Row Records. This album was one of the last Death Row albums before the company went bankrupt in 2006.
The album is a classic and featured some of Tha Row new artists like Eastwood & Spider Loc and also featured Kurupt's rap group Y.A. (Youth Authority) which included Roscoe, Bigg Tri and Tone. Suge and Kurupt also added a 2Pac track called "My Homeboys (Back To Back)" with Eastwood. Production was mainly in-house with Tha Row Hittaz, Mark Sparks, Doug Mayhem, Baby C-Style and the legendary Sir Jinx.
Despite the great quality of the album, the album hit billboard at number 60 but hit number 20 on the Top US Hip-hop & R&B billboard charts. The album had many removed Daz, Soopafly & Snoop Dogg disses as Kurupt got back cool with after they got mad he went back with Suge Knight in 2001.
