I had so much fun making some Rainbow Beasts this June.
The genesis of this was simple. I had bought some new coloured inks, and wanted to create a series of ink monsters with no black lines. And since it was pride-month, why not make them a bit fun and queer?
Of course, towards the end of the month I got distracted by Tons of Rock and vacation preparations and all that, but I still think making a full ABC of Rainbow Beasts may be a fun idea some day.
And I did buy a few really smashing inks the other day (Literally smashing, since I bought them to be smashed in the head with them while drawing wrestling). So who knows?
Would you like to see an ABC of Rainbow Beasts?
These are a few of the originals that are left in the store. 20% off until 2025.

SHAME!
I've done a few pieces making fun of fundamentalists and Christian Nationalists going "Pride goes before the Fall!"or "Pride is a sin!" whenever I voice a support for the modern PRIDE or LGBTQ+ movement.
But it's easy to make fun.
This image isn't making fun.
I drew it for a YouTube video where I discuss this in some more detail, so I'm not going to rehash the points about what "pride" in the Bible is, and how it is reflected in the hateful behaviour of modern fundamentalists who have no understanding of the book they claim to follow. You can go watch the video.
But.. whenever I deal with Christian mythology or any other belief current or historical, I try my best to treat the stories and beliefs with a basic dignity and respect. This is something that has become increasingly important to me the more I learn. This is something I've learned to take pride in.
But it's a strange balance. People do horrible things in the name of what they believe in. Religious belief. Secular belief. Beliefs I disagree with, and those who are close to my own. We all lose sight of how we use our smokescreen ends to justify our means.
I know my art can be provocative or hurtful, but that's seldom the point. Or at least not the only point.
The point is (without turning this into a commercial since we're having a sale on original art for the rest of the year) that whether the finished artwork and sketch end up with someone in the LGBTQ+, or a Christian who finds their own inclusive beliefs in this representation, I always hope my art ends up finding someone who believes in it in their own personal way.
Art is the worship of existence.
To put it in pompus words.
Where was I going with this?
No idea.

A few months ago my team was contacted about potentially doing a line of shoes with my art on it. Smartly, Kristoffer kept this secret from me until he could surprise me with the product samples, and I was floored!
My art looks great on shoes. Who wudda thunk?
So believe it or not, we've just launched 44 different pairs of shoes!
For the launch, we're doing up to 20% off the regular price. Check out the designs at the webshop.

I absolutely love @BeyondGrace cover of "Fragile" by @theofficialsting and am so honoured they used my art for it.
Originally this piece was done during the first months of lockdowns, as a part of an art challenge I called the #coronart challenge, and idea that multiple artists all over the globe had.
The keyword I tried to illustrate was "Irredeemable", and I dis so by photographing myself and working off the photo.
But somehow Beyond Grace saw something else in the art, and put it together with the word "Fragile". And I think that lifts the work to a whole new level.
So much so that I wanted to pay homage back and combine what they saw in my work back with my handlettering, and so I created this "How Fragile We Are" print.
Monetarily, Beyond Grace gets nothing from this print, just like I got nothing from their use of my art for their cover. But the beauty of art for free use is how much we can get from each other, and how our art can help lift one another.
Thank you to Beyond Grace.

I've felt such a calling back towards doing landscape sketches lately, and finally we've updated the store with a few of them, and updated the free art gallery with even more.
20% off on all originals out the year, and double discount for patreon supperters.
Funnily enough, doing landscape art in ink and selling it to tourists was my first attempt at making a living at art in the early 2000's, so this is kinda full circle?
I still have some of the old landscapes that didn't get picked up by tourists, but that's another story.

I was a little sad that I didn't get to do an updated version of this painting with Biden all bloody in the middle, but 4 years went by so fast and this piece took a lot of energy.
And now I'm a little sad that the art piece don't need no updating no more.
Sure, some of the faces should be changed. Bolsanaro is gone. Angela Merkel is gone. Boris Johnson got replaced by a lithany of nincompoops of increasing incompetence, until the brits were so fed up with it all that they elected that most uninteresting moist paper towel of a genocidal maniac called Keir Starmer. Here in Norway we replaced Erna Solberg, corrupt and occassionally sassy apologist for the ultra rich, with Jonas Gahr Støre, equally corrupt used handkerchief of a man pretending to support workers while continuing the same policies.
All of them thieves, liars, and murderers. In every sense of the words.
But the three big faces on the art, Trump, Putin, and Winnie-The-Pooh being the same after ao many years... That should worry everyone.
And while Harris would have continued the same genocidal imperialism as all US presidents, Trumps second term will be a disaster for all Americans who are not Trumps buddies, and especially grave for all those who suffer disabilities, including such "disabilities" as being born with a uterus, being born in the wrong country, being born in the wrong body, loving the wrong gender, or simply not having a brain that can mindlessly follow orders. And truly isn't that the worst disability of them all.
Stay strong. Fuck Trump.

Some special stuff for the end of the year...
All original art will be around 20% off until New Years at the website.
In addition, if you're a backer on Patreon, you'll get an additional discount code that stacks, for a really big discount.
Of course, this is a system that's easy to cheat, as anyone can just become a patron, get the code, and unsubscribe again. And if you want to do that, then you do you. But... I hope people stay supporting at Patreon.
Why? Because that's the most important for me to have security as I continue trying to make art for free use, and find ways to make art that touches more people and is useful for more people.
Like these pieces here. These have all been locked away in the Pre-Release Gallery, which is available for 10$ supporters on Patreon. And finally, today, I took on the work of publishing them in the free galleries, labelling them, giving key words, adding Creative Commons text, etc. It takes work, and support makes that work go faster.
But no matter what... Whether you support on Patreon, buy original art, or just use my art for free, that's all part of supporting me.
Thank you.

Change of plans.
In the month where I was to hold of on making these quick on a whim pieces, that I've been doing for years, and focus on a single more labour intensive artwork created together with you guys...
... I ended up doing a Wifwolf drawing on a while, and the reaction was great. Tons of people asking for prints.
So since I'm seriously stretched this month, and haven't gotten as far as I wanted on an October piece, I thought why not release the Wifwolf as this months exclusive print? I can do different versions where I handpaint the moon in different colours.
Does that sound cool?
