Still learning YouTube but I think is is going to all my subscribers. Just wanted to say thanks for the follow but also wanted to share a little bit about who your following.
I worked in the corporate world for 15 years leading teams that built and designed business intelligence tools (reporting and insights) that improved sales operations. Liked it but didn't love it like building things with my actual hands. So this past year I decided to go all in on woodworking - yikes.
I started woodworking in 2019 with the need to build out cabinets in a van I was converting to an RV. The desire to build with my hands didn't stop there so the woodworking journey continued. I still consider myself a novice or amateur since I've only built things for my family and have only sold one piece on Facebook marketplace (hardly a real test of furniture appeal to the market).
I started this channel "Mastercraft Spirit" because I believe in apprenticeships and the value they provide in growing your skill in a more structured way, sadly, we don't live in a world where those masters live close by. I'm no master by any means but I do want to pursue that path in designing and making furniture and I want to share those insights digitally so all can follow along.
But more importantly, I want to learn more about the community we're building here.
Feel free to share whatever got you into woodworking and how long you been in it.
