One thing I’d tell myself is that attention is the name of the game.
Without attention, it’ll be incredibly difficult to stand out in the digital landscape.

The presence of discomfort means you are doing something right.
Content creation is something that expands, improves, and gets better with time. Just like riding a bicycle , just like playing basketball, or working on math, or anything that you can possibly do in life, when you practice it consistently, you get better at it.
In the beginning of your content creation journey, you might feel like you're a crazy person talking to yourself or to a camera. All those feelings are okay. They're acceptable. But you have to push through. The difference between people like my father, Dr. Eric Berg, and myself, is that we simply persisted. We did not give up.
Even when we felt that we should not be doing this, especially when we felt uncomfortable, we just kept going at it. Persistence is how you win in the long run. Always remember that you're only competing against yourself. If you start comparing yourself with other influencers and content creators that are getting more views, more likes, more comments, and all these vanity metrics, you could eventually throw in the towel.
Remember that discomfort means you are doing something right. Embrace the discomfort.

You are overcomplicating your communication.
Consider rice and beans. In Puerto Rico, this is the simplest form of food. It’s easy to prepare, quick to eat, and a staple meal.
When I say that my father explained things in terms of rice and beans, he communicated in the simplest and clearest way possible.
When you're explaining a subject, the way you get in trouble is by explaining it above people's heads because you feel that you have to come across as an intellect and you have to sound intelligent. In turn, you start using words and language that your audience does not know, because you feel that if you don't, they're not going to think that you're intelligent.
But it's quite the opposite.
Think of rice and beans the next time you introduce a new subject to your audience.
