Hello all , I have been very patent.....
As I have been running an experiment with YouTube for past Month or so on this channel , ie ((The Missing Comments randomly disappearing or not showing at all )) ie ME seeing comments from you good folks... who HAVE Tried !
My Conclusion is the YouTube system is still Very... Very Broken, now to be fair some I have seen , but not all ... I have seen on the computer missing comments from the smartphone APP and also vise versa, or my guess in some cases NONE of Your Comments .
*****Now since the YouTube Team did not take me seriously in past month's, AND ALSO MAYBE since I'm not important enough take take seriously,.... I will NOT BE reinstating comments on past video's.

Question : Are there any YouTube video creatorβs reading this.
If so are you observing glitches, with comments no matter which filters are turned off or on, or even receiving comments when the Video has comments turned OFF, or possibly other issues that do not seem normal.
Also does anyone know of a platform other than YouTube for long video content storage that is free , or at least free form glitches such as above , the current way of producing content here on this YouTube channel Iβm starting to wonder if this is worth my time now and in the future, since YouTube was not even helpful in addressing some of these glitches , so if someone has found a better way than YouTube please share your thoughts.

I regret to take the following action: * See Details
I am turning OFF all Comments on Videos, past and future , due to Google support unable to address random missing Comments. The Community messages or comments may still work, If one needs to leave me a message , using any of these posts below, just give me subject & details.
Background:
So In fairness to all who have tried to send me comments on a Video, Thanks for trying ...some of these Video Comments worked , but some I tried to approve, then disappeared, also comments have been Disappearing randomly for a while also some comments I never saw to process and release for posting .
I have tried to get Google to look into the matter further with multiple logical explanations of issue, but was met by failure, they are requesting the impossible , Give them screen shots of missing comments, wow... what kind of logic is that , that will result in a blank screenshot ...since the message or comment disappeared. This kind of support almost seems like a non thinking RoBOT and maybe this is what has come down to, BOT support.
Again I regret taking this action.

π Hello All, * Important Note on Comments on all Video's.
I filed a notice of possible bug on the Video comments section with Google.
The initial reaction response from Google, was to blame my Browser(s) - computer(s) and iOS... regarding YouTube Studio and the iOS app, still waiting for further action from them, if any....
So some Background on the Video Comments:
This is concerning the system that manages your comments to me, ie comments mostly that have been approved by me from you, for posting on the appropriate Video.
I have observed over past several month's messages "disappearing" after approval, some reappear... and some do not. Now since all comments are in theory needing my approval, I should see them after approval ...providing You as the sender did not retract the message....that one I can understand, and why it would disappear .
However the YT message system seems very inconsistent , as a side note ...some of your messages get Deleted by the YouTube system, due to their screening tools and some messages I delete , and sometimes I do Ban the user or a BOT from current & future comments, usually due to bad language or inappropriate comments.
So the YT messaging system... IF you are responding back to a message or chain of messages, in some cases I never see the response from your message in YouTube Studio, that is the system content providers like myself use to manage things.
For now my suggestion is try not to respond to existing chain of messages, due to this possible glitch , but create a new message... even if you have to use the "Community" tab section to respond, again if necessary . Please include subject and which video you are responding on your comment... if using the Community section message.
This may seem like a hassle , and certainly is....but if YT Support has no future answers for me to address these issues, then I might just turn comments OFF on All video's past and future , since this current way is not working as advertised for me, and is a hassle for all.
** So Please remember, at this point maybe some of your messages are not showing up in my basket, If I cant see Them.... it's is hard for me to respond or approve for posting, due to these glitches .

π Hello Folks, a couple of day's ago... The Search feature next to Community was Broken , it should now be working , if you were wondering.... why it was not working the other day. Background: I had sent Google a bug report on the Search feature on the YouTube site, they fixed in 2 hours π , nice response, this was actually effecting all YouTube content providers at the time. π£π Since I keep getting questions on the Commercials and/or AD's on the Video's on my YouTube site. Some of these comments are downright rude in some cases, those users I ban instantly from comments . So let me be clear on this.
I do not get paid to make these video's or any of the commercial's shown, I have never received a dime form anyone for these video's.
My intention of this YouTube Channel is to help some folks on Linux related subjects without compensation .
I do not purchase or pay for subscribers, or views or Likes or Thumbs up.

π Another milestone, 800,000 views on this channel as of 9-5-24, thank you to all viewers. As a side note donβt forget the search feature (Magnifying Glass) *next to Community tab in center ...for a specific subject or distribution , most of my Videos are in a Play List.

Someone asked about Playlists , NOTE not everything is sorted into a specific playlist, your Distribution(s) may not be in my Playlist list . *** However you can still use the magnifying glass next to Community Tab, to find the Distribution or Subject matter if I have a video(s) , also please note sometimes a subject...can also have many Distributions or Desktops that these Video tips... will work on. Note on the magnifying glass next to Community, I believe is only available for computer WEB Browsers. Regards, t

So for the Internet Trolls , please ...there are other Chanel's to bug with your silly, nasty and immature responses .
Now for the more genuine... Linux Interested folks... looking for Linux related stuff , most of my material is explained in a (simple ) understandable format.
***** I have been around the computer industry for more than 30 Plus years.
I also remember , when I was New to this computer experience ...Thinking .....are there any Folks around that can explain things in a more simple down to earth terminology for me ...Well ...I do strive to make that possible on my channel.
*** I have folks that are Linux Developers and all the way down to New Users of Linux as subscribers .
Sometimes... some get offended by the term of Beginners or Newbies in Linux .
However my intent is to never insult anyone ....especially new Linux users..... We all humans, and have a lot of talent , in many areas of Life or Jobs ....maybe not computer stuff, my motto is never think one.... Knows ALL on any subject , again we have ......as humans, many talents .
I will never claim that Title (Know All) or pretend to , but ...I pass on, my Life Experience in Linux, just like others before me .. in most cases.
However some may mislead you.... into a product or a service with their YT Video's for subscription or rating status for money .
One Important Note is this ....******** I do not, have a product or service to sell you !!! , my agenda is very simple ...pass on Linux related subjects ...on Video's

Welcome to Linux for Seniors.. as a senior myself or older person if you prefer . My goal is simple , make videos that are mostly for New users of Linux, the intention of simple explanations & less tech jargon, as this channel grows I will be posting more advanced videos.
** I do not purchase fake subscriptions or post fake likes or any thumb's up..just simple Video content, 450 videos +.
*( Comments ) Sorry to take this action, but in Fairness to anyone leaving me comments, I have turned off all Video comments as 9-2024 , due to unresolved Google support on multiple random comments Disappearing. Community should - maybe work for messages, see Community for complete details.
