I know its been a minute since I've posted, but I've been busy working on cutting trees and other chores at the small house in the woods.

I've been shooting videos, but unfortunately, I don't have the time nor internet at the house, so editing will have to wait until I get back on the grid. Fortunately, I have a cell signal, so I'm able to do this post and blog. 7thsonproductions.org/

Thanks to you guys. The channel is just a few subscribers from 600, and that's just a few hundred from 1,000.

Thanks for hanging with me!!

As an artist, I didn't start any of my YouTube channels for the sole purpose of building a large following. It just made sense to me that the next step in showing images would be with video. Technology in the 21st century means just about everyone has a cell phone within reach and most of us use some type of social media for entertainment and business purposes.

5 years ago I never thought I'd be uploading a couple of videos each week to my various YouTube channels, but that's my reality as of now. None of my YouTube channels make money, but they all allow me to continue to create images, the moving kind. If my channels started to make money tomorrow I can't say the artist in me would not accept it, because it's always nice to be rewarded for the things you do.

With that thought in mind, I want to say THANK YOU!! to all of you who thought enough to subscribe to this channel.
I know there's a lot going on here and you might not like the fact that there are so many different playlists. I'm sure that's probably why there are only 500 subscribers. 500 hundred true believers are better than 50,000 that are here just because.

These days it seems a lot of people don't have the time to spend on channels that have more than one subject matter. While I understand that, I create videos on things that interest me and that happen to involve more than one subject matter.

Please continue to visit, and who knows someday maybe I'll get to 1,000 subscribers with 4,000 watch hours and I'll be able to monetize my channel(s).

I'm Back!! I spent some time working on the ' Small House in the Woods ' and I must say, although I spent full days working it was very relaxing. There's nothing like sitting on the steps in the mornings eating cereal and watching trees slightly blowing in the wind as the sun moves across the horizon.

The first video, "Choppin' Lightered" will be uploaded this coming Friday, March 17th. This is a pretty light video where I'm cutting "Lightered" kindling to use in my wood-burning stove. I thought it was going to be cold while I was there but the temps during the day ranged from 70 to 80 degrees and at night it didn't get any colder than 65 degrees during the night.

In this video, I cut up a petrified pine log as I talk casually with one of my older brothers. If you're wondering what Lightered is, this is a definition I found on Wikipedia. Because of the flammability of terpene, fatwood is prized for use as kindling in starting fires. It lights quickly even when wet, is very wind resistant, and burns hot enough to light larger pieces of wood. A small piece of fatwood can be used many times to create tinder by shaving small curls and using them to light other larger tinder. The pitch-soaked wood produces an oily, sooty smoke, and it is recommended that one should not cook on a fire until all the fatwood has completely burned out.

Since I'm on a bit of a break from shooting video I've had time to think about some of the interviews that were shot of me over the years. I remembered a good friend and photographer, (Joan Rudder Ward of Silver Sage Productions) who interviewed me in regard to photography and book publishing a few years back. I thought it was an interesting interview as it brought back memories of how and what I was thinking back then. It was just as I was starting to shoot videos for YouTube. Take a look, hope you like it. watch video on watch page

Happy Holidays!

The end of yet another year is upon us, and I wanted to post a community message. This is my first because I thought I needed to have 1,000 subscribers in order to post to the community.

Anyway, as we end 2022 and prepare for 2023, I want to give a heartfelt "Thank You" to each of my 469 subscribers. Thank you for thinking enough of either me and, or my content to subscribe. I know I have a lot going on here, but there are a few subjects I like to address here.

I started this channel to document the "Small House in the woods." As time passed, I found other topics I was interested in. I understand if you are not interested in them all, but once again, "Thank You" for subscribing!

I have a few more videos to finish editing and once that's done I'm going to take a much-needed break. After my break, I'll be back with more content in the year 2023.
