The inventor of the TIFF file format was finally credited after a massive search. 🤯
TIFF isn't just a file; it's our lossless standard for quality & preservation in photography. We must fight to preserve the documents and names behind these formats—they are the key to keeping our archives readable for the next generation.

I know the A6700 isn't a wildlife photography camera, but the animal eye auto focus is amazing, and I have some great images from South Africa.

It’s been a minute but I’ll have a post up later this sharing my experience of over packing camera equipment on my trip to South Africa.

Hey Everyone, I just wanted to post this here one of Pixel's litter mates is having a rough time and medicals are piling up. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Below is a note from her owner:
In April, I adopted Gouda from Resilient Heart Dog Rescue after fostering her for a month. She quickly became my best friend and sidekick. Now, she’s facing a serious medical emergency, and her treatment will cost around $9,000. I'm in-between jobs and funds are limited. I’m asking for help to cover her medical bills and make sure she gets to continue living life to the fullest. Any donation would mean the world to us. Thank you for your support!

For me, photography has always been about documenting life, finding beauty in the every day, and appreciating moments as they happen. It’s a way of freezing time, preserving the way things feel, look, or even smell at that moment. But journaling adds another layer to that documentation—it fills in the gaps that photos alone can’t capture. Words can convey the emotions behind the image, the context, or the thoughts racing through my mind when I took the shot.
Starting today, October 1st, I’m challenging myself to take one unique picture every day and pair it with a short journal entry. There’s no set amount I have to write—just a few words to accompany the photo and explain why it matters to me. The only rule is that the photo has to be new, something fresh from that day. This isn’t about perfection; it’s about building a habit and seeing where it takes me.
I’m excited (and a little nervous) to see how this challenge goes. I know there will be days when I won’t feel like journaling, and there will be days when I forget to take a picture until the last minute. But that’s part of the process. The goal isn’t to create perfect entries every time—it’s to keep going, to keep documenting.
So, if you’re up for it, join me in this challenge. Grab your camera, your phone, or whatever you use, and start capturing moments. Then, take a few minutes to write about them. It might just change the way you see your own life.
