Welcome new subscribers! Excited to announce that tomorrow, I’m flying to Alaska to return the letters of Lauren B. Marks to his daughter. Marks, a veteran of the 94th Infantry Division, wrote these letters to his parents in the U.S. from France, Germany, and Czechoslovakia during 1944 and 1945. He passed away in 1986, and now, 80 years later, I have the honor of bringing these precious pieces of history back to his family. Today is all about those last-minute preparations. Do I have everything? Am I ready? Feels surreal. One of the things that I will be doing, is making a documentary on this trip to share it with you, and to share the story of Lauren B. Marks. ✈️📜 #AlaskaBound #WW2History #PreservingMemories

Just learned that we lost another 94th Division veteran on 1 August 2023 at 9:55 PM. Dr. Marvin H Gohlke, from Kerrville, Texas reached the incredible age of 101 years. His 102nd birthday would have been 13 November 2023. He was a member of Company C, 301st Infantry and he served as a staff physician at the VA Hospital in Kerrville. There's a short interview on this channel: https://youtu.be/8IIpHzEShnM Time will not dim the glory of their deeds.

This Sunday, I am starting a series of 10-minute videos about my Memorial Day 2022 Tour in the Saar-Moselle Triangle. I go there each year to lay a flower piece for the fallen. So, as of this Sunday, I will post a video every week. They will be about the commemorations, but they also contain lots of history on the 94th Infantry Division. You can support the 2023 trip here: gofund.me/2d38e901
