💖 Very rarely, do my wife and I work on an art piece together. You'd think this would be a more common phenomenon, but it's not. I dont know why we dont, to be honest. I think we each just get lost in our own projects.
However, never say never 🥰 This, here, is one of those uncommon instances. We painted and brought to life this vinyl doll kit. With our own unique painting styles, we created this here 🌹 He is fully rooted by me 🥰

😍 Here is a little sneak peek of the next reborn doll debuting from my art studio. She's a little different from my usual work. She has the fundamental layers of what makes a reborn doll - for example, veining, creasing, blushing, mottling, a few warm tones, and nail tipping. However, she lacks complex details and various specific painting washes. She also has penciled hair (which is sealed in order to prevent fading). Once upon a time, I opened up custom spots for "budget reborns," and she is one of them. Regardless of her simplicity, she is still made with so much love and passion from my soul. Good morning, beautiful people!
I am currently working on a very special project for you. If you enjoy my art videos and are interested in learning new painting techniques or how to paint reborn dolls, this series is being created with so much love for you! I can't say much more at this time! But I think so many of you are going to have your jaws hit the floor by what I will be sharing.
In the mean time, I thought I would take you back in time with this painting series I created back in 2016 (9 years ago). I love the simplicity of this series. I get right to the point, and I keep it short and sweet. I really like that. Lengthy tutorials can get a little overwhelming.

🥳🎂 Yesterday, we celebrated my wife's 43rd birthday and our 12-year marriage anniversary ❤️ We didn't have anything specific planned. We just went where our little hearts took us. So, we started our day at our favorite coffee place here in Winchester, KY...Biggby Coffee. Then, we ventured off to Lexington, where we went to the Goodwill, Salvation Army, FYE, and Miniso. We finished our evening by having dinner at a place we have never tried before...'Big Kahuna Hawaiian BBQ.' 🥰 I have received the most rare and beautiful opportunity to purchase many sold-out and limited edition doll kits from a private seller. They range from the years 2007 to 2024 - with most of them being 10 years or older. Here is one of them. This one is sold out and limited edition Karlotta by Karola Wegerich released in 2014. She is edition number 185 of 555! I still remember the days she was released. Unfortunately, this is a doll kit I didn't purchase or reborn back then because during this time, I was solely focused on customs and prototypes.
I just can't believe my luck! I now have doll kits I wish I had purchased back then and didn't. It's an amazing second chance! 😍 And, I am eternally grateful for it. Stay tuned for these new creations.

My name is Jackie Ortiz. I am 35 years old and I am the reborn doll artist behind "Heart 2 Heart Babies." I have been creating reborn dolls since 2011. They are my absolute and endless passion.
Although I have a double major degree in neurobiology and psychology, I took the artist route and made a career out of reborn dolls. It was most definitely unplanned. I just love the art so much that I couldn't seem to stop creating in order to continue my career path. so, I stayed here.
