Writing Through the Brick Wall is a distillation of the 1st Semester College Composition and Essay core course I taught for twenty years at three universities but primarily at Florida Memorial University as Associate Professor of English and Director of Writing and Critical Thinking. The vids are intended for high school seniors, college students in developmental writing, and any student struggling with college writing. I have learned from and been enriched and blessed by my students and colleagues, and I credit each of them for what I offer here. The format is lecture and quiz questions with answers. Leisurely readers please pause the text sections. My teaching style has always been sincere but sometimes irreverent, and I hope no one is offended.
