Hi! My name is Heather Monthie, PhD, CFI. I am a flight instructor (CFI), a commercial pilot with an instrument rating, and a remote pilot. I have been involved in aviation all my life!
I've worked as a professional educator for over 20 years at all levels, from young kids to older adults interested in changing careers or starting a new hobby. I've also been working on online education since 2013. I had an independent flight instruction business until 2015, when I was recruited to a large university to start and grow their STEM programs. I knew I wouldn't have time for both, so I set my business aside temporarily.
In 2019, I decided to take my online teaching experience, combined with my flight instructing experience, and start creating aviation educational content on my blog and YouTube.
On this channel, you'll find FAA Part 107 exam content, starting a drone or aviation business, and sport & private pilot content. Commercial and Instrument are on the plan too!
