With a heavy heart, the HHN Team would like to inform our project is going into an indefinite hiatus.
We have launched HHN in April 2024, slowly and steadily gaining subscribers and views. As this is a business project, we had a plan and milestones to meet. By August, we were encouraged by the progress – it was slow, but within our pre-defined path. We have nailed our format, and then we have seen some of our videos finally booming, getting above 100 views per hour at peaks. Cheers and drinks went up.
But then, out of the blue, on September 26th, something has changed. Just a couple of days earlier, we released the AVI-8 video. It started nicely and then stopped. OK, fine, we had flops before and it wasn’t even that big. Yet, as data analysis has proven later, all 7 later videos didn’t even register. We reached out to experts, talked to fellow YouTubers, dumped the detailed statistics from YouTube studio into AI to look for weak correlations that we could miss ourselves. Alas, the analysis proved inconclusive and there were no answers. By all available metrics, the last 8–9 videos are no different from our best ones. Yet, the almighty YouTube algorithm refuses to recommend our videos to new viewers.
As the name of the game is monetization, at present HHN has no chance to meet the goal of 4000 hours of watch time by May 1st, 2025. Not even close. Thursday, October 31st, we have registered the lowest number of views since our start. Meh.
Well, it isn’t our first rodeo. We have been in projects that died before, and we will just move on. But grateful for the opportunity to work together and – what is even more important – that HHN had prompted almost exclusively positive reactions from you all. The hate comments could be counted on the digits of one hand. THANK YOU! <3
Who knows, our founder will keep an eye on the statistics, and we are ready to jump back in.
