I'm currently working on a video about the word やる. やる is an extremely common word that people use very frequently every day, yet many Japanese learners struggle to grasp its proper usage. It's a remarkably complex word. Teachers and schools often shy away from explaining it because this word is truly hard to explain. Some may say it's essentially the same as する, but I must tell you that they are not quite the same. In many situations, やる and する cannot be used interchangeably because they carry different nuances. It's an extremely challenging word to tackle, but I'll do my best to make it as simple and clear as possible. I'll focus on やる when it means 'to do.' I'm not going to cover やる when used in a sense 'to give' or 'to send' to make it simpler. If there is demand, I will talk about those other usages of やる in the future video. I plan to publish the video sometime next week. I will assure you that this video will be insightful and very instructive, so stay tuned!
