Just so I avoid repeatedly posting the same post on two separate channels (unless it's an emergency), I'll only be posting any announcement of me doing a livestream on my other channel Roamer Monkey. To be clear about my different channels:
- Roamer Tummy: Was formerly named Roamer Monkey before I changed it to create a separate channel with the original name. Hosts variety content (ex: commentary & non-commentary playthroughs, tutorials, showcase videos, soundtrack compilations, etc.).
- Roamer Monkey: The new main channel that took the name of this channel. Hosts scripted videos (i.e. video essays) and live streams.
- Roamer Tuney: Posted game soundtracks.
- Roamer Funky: Sporadic memes.

Only took me 5 years to get my YouTube life actually fairly organized and almost where I want it to be since like 2021, better late than never

LAST-MINUTE ANNOUNCEMENT: I'll be live-streaming my playthrough of Enigmatis: The Ghost of Maple Creek around 9:30AM EST (might be slightly late) today on my other channel Roamer Monkey. Hopefully nothing goes wrong!

If you're interested in why there's been an influx of let's plays on this channel, I just need an excuse over spring break to:
a) clear my Steam backlog. As the pic shows, even if I played and beat one every week, I would only be finished by next year, so I need to get started now. This is the best case scenario schedule, there are good chances I won't follow it fully.
b) use YouTube as a way to store footage to use for future review videos on my Roamer Monkey channel (you can also use it for your videos if you want). I'll post the no commentary playthroughs soon. I really should've done this for every hidden object game I've played since years ago, but better late than never.
c) entertain myself by talking more. I kind of already talk to myself when playing games anyways, so might as well put a mic in front of me.

I don't know how it feels to have 1.2k subs on this channel when I know more than half of it comes from the like 2 Doctor Who videos that exploded when this is clearly not a Doctor Who channel

Regardless, thanks I guess, and happy new year! Again, check out ‪@RoamerMonkey‬ if you care to actually see my video essays that I'm more proud of. I also just uploaded a new review there on MazM: Hyde & Seek. If you don't, that's of course fine too

Hey Nancy Drew fans, just wanted to share a recent wholesome story I've found out about Lani Minella: two decades ago, she voiced the character Littlefoot in a PS1 game based on the "The Land Before Time" film series. This year, when a hospital patient (Katelyn) lost a plushie of Littlefoot she's had for 36 years, Lani went out of her way to record a message in Littlefoot's voice comforting and wishing her well. The plushie is still lost, but Katelyn seems to be doing better now, which is what matters.

My 2018 Windows laptop (not the MacBook whose stickers I showed last time) has bricked: long story short, somehow something's wrong with my HDD (where all my files are) that's preventing my laptop from booting up. A technician's currently working on recovering my data from the HDD, but according to them it seems pretty unlikely. My dumb ass didn't back up most of my HDD's data anywhere else, so unless good news may show up, the majority of my data (non-Steam games, photos, video project files, footage, extracted game assets, etc.) is likely permanently gone. If you haven't already, please consider investing in some option in backing up your data in case something like this happens to your computer.

I can eventually redownload from the internet a good chunk of what was on my HDD on a new Windows laptop that I'll buy, it'll just be really inconvenient and time-consuming. Current projects-wise, I thankfully only have lost all of my progress on an edited, so far almost 10-hours playthrough of MazM: Hyde & Seek, so I'll need to re-record and re-edit that (I can't store all the footage on my phone). If this happened in the middle of more bigger projects (my several hours-long Nancy Drew, Dark Parables, and Mystery Case Files soundtrack compilations for example), I would be much more miserable now.

Basically, it's going to take a while for me to post videos (again), which sucks since winter break is starting for me. Hope you're all having a better week than I am!

(also consider checking out my other channel ‪@RoamerMonkey‬ , I'm considering that my new "main" channel over this channel now).

Thought to share what my laptop stickers look like, as you can see it's very hyperspecific to what I like lol

I used stickeryou.com to get most custom stickers here, these stickers were made only for my personal use

Here's what the stickers are meant to represent (from left to right, top to bottom):
- 2024: Self-explanatory
- Snatcher: From "A Hat in Time" (an actual in-game sticker)
- Jon: From my video (https://youtu.be/YHNlHkSQDFc )
- Anna: From "Murder in the Alps"'s chapter "No Quarter"
- Larry: From "Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate"
- Mortimer: From "Mortimer Beckett and the Time Paradox"
- Hat Kid: From "A Hat in Time" (an actual in-game sticker)
- Black Magnifying Glass: Made by me
- Nancy Drew Magnifying Glasses: Bought from LillianimationArt (check out her work!: linktr.ee/lillianimation )
- Text: Self-explanatory (proud to have come up with it myself)
- Kay: From "MazM: Hyde & Seek"
- Blue Thief: From "Everhood"
- Briar Rose: Original fan art by DetectiveRuth (check out her art!: www.tumblr.com/detectiveruth )
- Teresa: From "Dark Parables: Red Riding Hood Sisters" (in a post by Blue Tea Games: www.instagram.com/blueteagamesofficial/p/BrWjGGLgC… )
- TARDIS: From "Doctor Who" (made by me, based on 13th Doctor's version)
- Kirby: Self-explanatory

To any Murder by Choice fans out there, just wanted to announce the composer Scientart Media's just released a couple of tracks for the game on their YouTube channel. Some of it I've already uploaded, but most of it are completely new tracks. Don't know if these new tracks are just completely unused or will be used for Chapter 2. You can find the playlist here: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

No, I don't know why the faces are all messed up.

Out of all the suspects in Mystery of the Seven Keys, only one has a voice actor that also voiced in Midnight in Salem. Can you guess which character it is? (YouTube only allows for 4 options, so I grouped the suspects into 4 options the best I could)

Consider this a substitute for any updated version of my Nancy Drew Voice Actors video (there's really no point), this was the one mildly interesting tidbit I found about the game's voice actor cast (besides staring in really famous media like Genshin, Fire Emblem Heroes, etc.).

The changes on the channel name, avatar, and banner are probably completely unnecessary but a necessary evil at least to me; I basically just need a separate channel called Roamer Monkey with the previous avatar and banner as a clean slate for very eventually more formal and higher-effort videos (videos where I actually speak and review stuff).

Here's that new channel if interested: youtube.com/@RoamerMonkeyTwo
