VGM CON was the best weekend of my life!!!
Thanks so much to everyone who was able to catch my set or just chat for a bit at the event. Now that the event's over, I've got lots of music to share over the coming weeks, including performance videos from the Karma Cronies set!

I'm playing at VGM CON this April!
The convention runs from April 11th-13th in Minneapolis, MN, and my band, Xander Plute & the Karma Cronies, will be playing on April 11th at 3:00 PM on the Boss Stage! If you're planning to attend, come check us out! It's gonna be a great show with some amazing musicians! We'll be getting footage as well, so the full set will be uploaded to my channel sometime afterwards!

Thank you all so much for 1000 subscribers!
At the beginning of 2024, this channel was sitting at just over 200 subscribers. I didn’t know many people in the Video Game Music community. I was just doing my own thing. In the past year, your amazing support has allowed me to play at MAGFest, introduced me to so many amazing friends and musicians I’ve collaborated with, and kept me inspired, motivated, and grateful in a year that was otherwise the most challenging of my life.
It was video game music that prompted me to take my first step as a musician. Video games, their music, and the amazing musicians behind video game compositions, arrangements, and covers have inspired me in a genuinely life-changing way. To see, through all of your support and amazingly heartfelt comments, that my own arrangements have touched and inspired people in the way I was by others is always so exciting, and something that I’m so grateful for. You all mean so much to me.
Going into 2025, I aim to keep uploading every two weeks. This schedule was challenging to keep up with at times, leading me to make some covers over the past year that I don’t think I gave my best to, but I’ve been working really hard and have managed to get several months ahead on arrangements, and ones that I feel very proud of. I’ve been so creatively inspired as of late, and I can promise that, both visually and musically, 2025 will bring with it my best work yet!
Thanks again for listening to my music. I’m so glad that it has touched everyone it has.

Thank you all for 750 subscribers! We’re 3/4ths of the way to 1,000 and already closing in on the subscriber count of my first channel that was active for three times as long as this one has been so far! I really appreciate all of the support you all have shown me over the past two years!
I set a goal in January to reach 1,000 subscribers by the end of the year, and while I’ll be more than grateful for you all even if that goal isn’t achieved, I’m currently working on multiple massive collaborations and crazy, orchestral pieces in hopes of bringing you all my BEST MUSIC YET by the end of the year and meeting that subscriber goal of mine. I can’t wait to show you all what I’ve been working on!
Also, there was no upload this past week (some friends and I were recording a live cover out in the wilderness), and I missed a week all the way back in January whilst preparing for MAGFest as well, so expect a few more uploads than usual as we start to close out 2024.
I’ll end this post with one more thank you and a behind-the-scenes shot of us setting up for what we filmed this past week. You won’t want to miss it!

New Collab!
I had the pleasure of recording for a few different tracks on Vgm Con’s latest album jam, and here’s the second one of those to get a music video! Hi! Formerly Stale Karma here! I thankfully don’t have a massive audience, so this doesn’t mean too much, but I figured I’d mention that I’m changing my channel’s name to avoid confusion.
I’ll be using my real name from now on. It’s been so rewarding to have people meet me, recognize me, and talk to me as ‘Stale Karma’. Those interactions helped show me that this channel that I’d made with the goal of sharing the magic of video game music has been successful, so thank you all for all of the support!
That said, there’s no big reason for the change. I just like my name, and being referred to by my real name feels more personal and human, so I figured I’d change things up before more people came along for me to confuse.
Anyways, that’s all. Thank you all, as always, for everything!

This was part of a massive 72-hour Album Jam for VGM Con that took place back in April. The album will be releasing on streaming soon, and there will be one other music video I helped out with that I’ll share when it releases!
