120+ hours straight in the Apple Vision Pro (minus daily shower in the dark) 😎
I haven't seen the 'real world' since last Friday... 👨🏼🦯
This is going to be a fun video... now onto the edit. 👨🏼💻

Hey y'all! Hope you're enjoying the latest content. You might've noticed some changes, especially more storytelling in my longer videos. I'm curious, do you still want to see short videos on various topics like living with blindness, tech, travel, and lifestyle on this channel? I've been mixing storytelling with short-form content, but I'm considering less structured videos for YouTube Shorts too. Let me know your thoughts.
(I'm currently at CSUN and filming some cool blind tech and products on the show floor - could make for some fun shorts.)

😎 Alright y'all I've had some time with the Apple Vision Pro, I'm working on a video this week - If I had room in the video to answer some questions, would you like to know about the device, my experience, etc? 🤔

🤯 Thanks so much for the great response on my Apple Vision Pro demo video. It even hit 1 million on TikTok. Stay tuned for Thursday the 29th. I'm uploading one of my wildest experiences yet...

The individual's hand is extended forward, holding a white cane with a red tip, commonly used as a mobility aid by the visually impaired. The scene is night-time with a starry sky, and the cane stretches out towards a dark, rocky landscape.

Hey y'all, hope you're having a great 2024 so far. I'm excited to announce that I'll be returning to long-form content on YouTube this week. I've got some amazing videos lined up, and I can't wait to share them with you.
I did want to let you know I'll be uploading a shorter version of my Mt. Fuji climb video that I shared last year. This version will focus primarily on my experience climbing the mountain as a blind person, with much of the day-to-day travel buildup and Pokémon gameplay cut out.
I'm extremely proud of that video and its final product. However, I understand it may have been challenging to connect with unless you had a personal nostalgic relationship with the Pokémon franchise. Given that this channel doesn't heavily feature video games, I felt it's best to share an additional version that dives straight into the hike.
My goal with the videos I'll produce this year is to capture my journey with blindness, as I take on various experiences. I aim to end each video with a new perspective that helps us all see different.

🎮 10/20, #SpiderMan2PS5 hits the shelves! As a legally blind creator and consultant, I'm beyond proud to have consulted on its accessibility and writing. Kudos to the developers for prioritizing inclusivity. Let's make gaming a space where everyone can swing into action! 🕷️🎉

Stepping out of my comfort zone with a GoFundMe to ease the financial stress from a recent medical emergency. Job hunting while blind comes with its share of recruiter bias, a challenge I've faced for years. I don't expect anything but any support is appreciated 🙏🏻

If you hadn't seen already, I recently shared my most ambitious video yet. This unique video is a blend of a gaming and travel-vlog. Visiting real-world locations based on the in-game landmarks in Pokémon Gold & Silver on GameBoy, ultimately leading up to me climbing Japan's tallest mountain in order to have a final showdown against the strongest Trainer. It's very personal as Pokémon was the first franchise that was visually accessible for me as a kid to play and motivated my love for travel! I even collaborated with the artist @DakotaRhodesMusic to have an original song produced to celebrate this childhood dream!

How y'all doing? It's been a minute. While traveling the last few months I've filmed a ton of content. The travel made it difficult to consistently edit but I'm back in the US. I'm excited to start a new chapter on YouTube. I've been using this platform for over 16 years now as a way to share experiences and ideas. Often that brought in work outside of YouTube to keep me sustained.
Since the start of this year I've been eager to soft-relaunch with a new focus and content strategy. If you saw my 24 Hours Blindfolded video, you'll get a sense of the style of content I'll continue pivoting towards. This doesn't mean tech, travel, and gaming content will just stop. I'll be sharing details soon on where that type of content will continue to live. In fact all three of those elements will continue to some degree on this channel. I'm excited to share these upcoming videos with you!
I'm committed to YouTube and I'm going for the gold ▶️(even if it takes years)!
Talk soon.

▶️ YouTube audience question: how do you feel about 2-Parter entertainment videos?
If you sit through a video and there is a cliffhanger that sets up a continued story, do feel inclined to return to see how it continues or do you prefer a video with 1 cohesive story? 🙇🏼♂️

Hey, I'm James. I was born with blindness.
I'm a storyteller, traveler, and here for a good time.
Like life, blindness is a spectrum, it ain't all dark.
In my videos, I aim to learn and laugh, and I hope together, we SEE DIFFERENT.
