Hey everyone! Happy New Year!
Below is an excerpt from a message I posted on the channel Guilded server that should help explain where I've been and when I'll be back.
For a few years now I've been dealing with some pretty gnarly sinus issues. It started out as dry nose and evolved into cracked sinus membranes and terrible nosebleeds that would fill my nose with dried, caked blood multiple times during the day and especially at night when I was trying to sleep.
In the spring/summer of 2022 I got two teeth pulled and also came down with COVID. When I finally got to the other side of things, I was left with a weird, continually draining sinus on top of everything else.
This past fall, I went back to see the ENT.
Turns out, I have a deviated septum and a septum spur. After a CT of my sinuses, we also discovered that I have a cyst in each sinus, one large and one small, that are the source of a lot of the drainage.
All this stuff has equaled a lot of breathing problems and serious issues getting regular sleep. I'm almost constantly exhausted, winded, irritable, and just out of it. It got exponentially worse when the cold weather rolled in this year.
The good news is I have a surgery scheduled for this Friday to correct the deviated septum, remove the spur, and remove/drain the cysts.
So I have been spending the past several weeks just taking care of things that NEED to get taken care of and trying to prep everything for surgery. Once that's over and I've had time to recover I'll be back making videos and stuff for all of you again - hopefully with renewed energy because hey, I might be able to breathe and sleep normally!
