Morning all! After two weeks spent across Korea and Japan, I'm back in Australia. It was a busy two weeks, not necessarily holidaying but spending 8-12 hours each day filming b-roll for the channel and other projects in the works. While exhausting, it was a lot of fun, and I filmed it with my new camera.

Unfortunately, now I have to name thousands of clips with their relevant airline, aircraft type and registration (which should be fun) - But slowly but surely, expect to see footage from 8 new locations circled into the channel to hopefully make the videos feel fresher.

Also, appreciate your patience with pre-recorded stuff, although you may not have realised it. I'm already getting back on track today with more relevant news and stuff. Thanks again, and I appreciate you all so much.

Good morning! I'll be out of the office from September 23 through October 7. I'll have limited recording capabilities (only a phone for audio).

However, never fear; I've been pre-recording news in advance and currently have videos scheduled to go live every day until October 8 (already). I know by the time a video rolls around on October 3, you may have already heard the news, so I sincerely apologise; however, I am doing my best to still have something going out on the channel despite not having access to my office. I appreciate your support and hope you're all staying healthy and happy. Thanks for the support!

Also, if something significant happens (which I'm sure it does), you'll have to endure some pretty awful audio quality. Hopefully, this won't be needed!

Happy 9 years to Dj's Aviation, I started this as a 14-year-old in high school and now am 23, engaged, have moved out and am trying to do this adult thing. Thanks for sticking with me, whether you've been here a week, 9 years, or this is your first post I really appreciate you.

I'll be around as long as I'm wanted. Even though I'm massively underqualified for this and really just an #avgeek who likes to talk planes, I am still fortunate beyond words for everything that's come my way.

At some point or not, I hope the community has been a safe space for you as it was for me when I was growing up, for I have grown up with Dj's Aviation and, honestly, so many of you. From a little teenager with voice cracks and no clue to someone with now a deeper voice (I think) and still no clue!

There are highs and lows, but running this independently across every avenue has meant a lot in the last nine years, and I appreciate all your patience with my errors and such, for I am also not all that smart.

Over the last nine years, I've had a lot of fun with everything from the model airport videos to model aircraft releases to news to planespotting clips. However, one of the most eye-opening and proud moments has been the many people who have reached out and said this community, consistent videos and more have pushed them into becoming pilots or working in aviation. That's the beauty of the internet, for all its flaws it can create a wholesome space to engage in a passion that can open your eyes and take your further than expected.

So whether you're reading this at 15 or 43, take that jump, just as I did at 14, with a Justin Beiber-styled haircut and go achieve your dreams. You only live once, so live every moment like it's your last, cliche, but it's true.

Also, here is a shoutout if you remember this logo. I was just reminiscing a little about simpler times. Got some exciting things planned for 10 years, hoping we make it to that!

A morning spent airside at Melbourne Airport celebrating Jetstar Airways' 20th birthday. It was an unforgettable moment for this Avgeek, who visited the airport at the age of 4 with a logbook to track registrations and turned that passion somehow into a career. Now, 20 years later, that same Avgeek is airside and amongst the action.I'm looking forward to sharing bits and bobs from the morning across this channel and the entire 80 clips one day on that dedicated spotting channel I speak about a lot! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone : )

For some this won’t mean much, for others it’ll bring a lot of nostalgia 😊

8 years ago, my mum said I should upload my planespotting clips to Youtube instead of leaving them on an SD card, and the rest was history. I was just 14 then, and this year, I turn 23. I've been on a journey with this channel, and many of you have joined me as I've grown up.

Whether you're 55, 75, 15 or 23, I have loved every second of it (well, maybe bar a few), and it's my absolute pleasure to have you be a part of my community. Dj's Aviation, djsaviation.net, the podcast, the socials, the other channels, the emails, editing, research and more remains 8 years on just me, and it's my little passion project, and that'll never change. I know I've got a lovely group of people for however long this ride continues.

Thank you for your unwavering support, love, and kindness. I'll never be able accurately to express my gratitude. You've given me more than I could've ever imagined. I hope through my passion,, I've been able to convert maybe even just one of you to join this amazing industry in some capacity, whether that be through taking up planespotting, training to become a pilot or something else because that's always been my goal. Share the industry and create a community I wish I had at points. The internet is beautiful for that.

Today I am pleased to introduce the new-look Dj's Aviation, streamlined for the future but continuing to soar to new heights, as evident through the updated branding and the feature plane flying above the Dj's logo mark.

Fun fact, today, 7 years ago today, exactly, I created my Youtube Channel. It has been a journey, and I'm grateful to everyone for making it possible. You've made my life what it is, and I'll never be able to repay the favour. So here's to whatever the next 7 years hold. You all are incredible, and I couldn't ask for a kinder and more caring community. While doing this has presented challenges and isn't easy, I am truly blessed for all the opportunities that have come my way.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

I'm being flown out to the United States in 10 days to attend the launch of the newest U.S long-haul carrier, Northern Pacific Airways. I'll be interviewing the CEO, going airside, viewing the 757 and seeing much more. I'm so excited as this is my first ever invite to an event since launching the channel almost 7 years ago. For those interested in the flight details:

Melbourne to Nadi
Fiji Airways 737 MAX
Economy Class

Nadi to Los Angeles
Fiji Airways Airbus A350
Economy Class

There'll be complete trip reports coming to the channel, and the return leg is the same services and aircraft as Fiji Airways. I'll be asking for your help with questions to put forward to the CEO, so it's time to get your thinking hats on! I honestly cannot thank you all enough, this simply wouldn't be possible without all your support over the past 7 years, whether you joined when I had my model airport or if you had joined yesterday. Thank you. I hope the coverage makes you smile.

Stay tuned...

2,000 uploads on Dj's Aviation! Starting this channel at the age of 14, I didn't think I'd ever reach 2,000 uploaded, let alone have the channel where it is today and have managed to build up such a unique, warm and caring community. Thanks for making it all possible to those who found the channel on the 3rd video, the 750th or the 1,999th! I appreciate you more than words will ever be able to explain. Here's to 2,000 more videos!
