Okay, so. Computer died just after uploading last week's episode. Got a new one (I have the best wife ever), but still trying to get everything working the way I like it. Just recorded another episode, only to discover that it recorded video of the audio recording software instead of the game. -_-
So, don't feel like rerecording the whole thing tonight. Will probably do so in a day or two, so this week's episode will be a bit delayed. Sorry about that!

Well, it is done. Took me two years, but the Tales of Symphonia completion walkthrough is, er, complete. I will keep plinking away at editing and updating the written guide on Steam when I get the opportunity so that some bot can repost it on some unscrupulous site without credit (seriously, I have found it in at least two places without credit or permission), but now I am faced with the perplexing question of what to do next with this channel.
We finally got our internet situation sorted out yesterday, so once I am over my current migraine I will see about putting up the tv wall mount, and once that is done Sarah and I will be able to record more Spirit Farer or whatever else catches our fancy. But the times when we are both free, feeling well, and fully awake are few and far between (lots of f-words in that sentence) so those will be sporadic.
If you are just here for the kitten videos, I am afraid it will be a while before we are in a position to foster again, so sorry but other than occasionally posting our cats those will also be quite rare for the foreseeable future.
And if you were just here because you wanted the Tales walkthrough and don't care about any other content I might put out, well, thanks for the views anyway! I am glad for every person my guides, both written and video, have helped over the years.
But if you think this channel has potential for more entertainment then I am seriously asking please, PLEASE comment below and give me ideas for what games you want to see featured here! I don't have any other games I have written walkthroughs for (there was one I had extensive notes for but lost them due to a hard drive crash; if you like quirky metroidvanias check out Super Daryl Deluxe!) but I could do something in a Let's Play style. I guess streaming is popular, but I don't think my laptop is powerful enough to do that while running any kind of modern game. Anyway, right now by default I am leaning toward Tales of Vesperia, but again PLEASE comment below if there is something you would rather see!

All the footage is recorded for the next episode, but Sarah and I have had the flu all week so I am not currently up to recording the voiceover. I will likely get the episode out this next week, but maybe not Monday.
When I do get to the recording, I will likely rant about something: the third Fake Chosen scene won't trigger! I waited til after the Great Tree sprouted, restored Luin, and entered the screen where it is supposed to be (and I DEFINITELY saw the first two scenes on this save), but nothing happened. I have gone back periodically since (stopped recording just before Flanoir Doctor), and still nothing. I am so very, VERY annoyed.

There is something infuriately wrong with my audio-capture software. I have been using Audacity to capture my voiceover for the entirety of this channel, but in the last few days it has become unusable. I have tried recording the entire half hour commentary three times now, and always with the same result: when I try to export the audio file the program freezes up completely. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, uninstalling, deleting all related files and folders and even registry entries, then reinstalling, and still have the same issue. I will be seeking help on the forums and looking into other software, but for now I ask what you would rather I do regarding the current episode:

Busy this weekend with my birthday, so probably won't have time to edit another episode. Next one will probably drop in April.

Okay, I have all the raw footage recorded for the Hard Path, probably about 6-7 hours worth, but currently running on way too little sleep to edit it together and record voiceover. Sarah and I both have early morning medical appointments this week, so I will get to it when I can. Expect next episode either later this week or maybe as late as the 18th; in fact, until I get the hang of this new format, episodes are probably more likely to be biweekly than weekly.

Okay. I just spent over two hours trying to record an episode for the Forbidden Anamnesis, aka the optional dungeon. I don't know if they buffed the hell out of the bosses or if I just got worse at the game but I am finding this way too difficult. Even using All Divides for each of the bosses I ran myself pretty much completely out of Life Bottles, Elixirs, and the like by the third (out of four) bosses. So I am putting up a poll here to see how my viewers want me to deal with this situation.
