Another true crime podcast, you say?
Crime Cave is a little different.
Here, the focus is on the victim. And there's not 12 minutes of banter between co-hosts about what they did last night or the beer of the week. This is a one-woman operation out of a spooky closet studio -- complete with a red lava lamp! Each episode is 20 minutes or less and shines a light on some of the most bizarre cases in the last 50 years.
My background: I've had a huge interest in true crime since my days of watching marathons of Snapped in the mid-90s. Some of these crimes would stay on my mind for days after watching a particular episode. I'd then find myself doing the Nancy Drew bit and doing further research on my own. I went to CrimeCon and toyed with the idea of creating a podcast, but talked myself out of it. Then I realized... whether I have one listener or one million... I needed an outlet to talk about the cases that haunted me for a very long time.
