in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
BLEH! After battling sound problems I was happy to have fully recorded the video for today.. sadly I noticed when editing that my camera's autofocus was oscillating for the whole time :[
I'll have to re-record this asap, but no worries, I will get though it;
My apologies for the delay, and here's a sample of the 1 hour of raw footage I have which have all been similarly rendered super annoying to watch by flickering autofocus if you wanna poke fun at my technical mishappening ;-)

Gah! I'm unusually talkative recently with these community posts, my apologies for the spam!!
I'm posted a dumb little improvisation to force myself to post the first things that come to mind with the camera running ;-) and also to help the wait until I properly go through invention number 1 as announced here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3HEV...
After fixing some dumb technical problems (A connector broke and a lot of footage I had recorded was in... only the left ear 😭) I plan to post the videos about the invention on Thursday, and each Thursday every 14 days after that :D
Have a great week!

Apologies for this rant-like post that has little to do with baroque impro, but in the process of preparing the next video about Invention n. 1, I was looking through some normal video editors for things that I would naievely consider basic features... and maaaan I don't know If I'm just a spoiled idiot but video editing SUCKS haha 😅
I don't need 95% of the advanced features of those editors, but some simple stuff that could be implemented is just not done for some reason..
I'm kind of toying with the idea of writing my own hackish little video editor that could have support for:
* Using a pdf file as direct source of graphics, so you can show scores (or other documents) without having to convert to an image first.
* Scriptability and Integration with other programs to (for instance) write LaTeX equations or Lilypond music notes on screen.
* Using any youtube video as a video/audio source without having to manually download it..
* Representing the in-progress-work of editing as a simple text file so you can use existing source control solutions like GIT, Mercurial to collaborate and have history.
* Scriptability to allow for having a template of an edit in which you can simply plop in new video/audio footage (this probably exists in a lot of places tho)
If you have any features you'd like to see in a video editing program that you just couldn't find anywhere I'd be very happy to hear them!
I don't know if I'll find the time to put my fingers to another use than the musical one ;) but if I do end up writing it I'll be sure to share it with the community.. however hacky it will be haha
Cheers!

Heyy everyone :-)
Having just gotten back to Youtube after a... stormy period for me, I just wanted to apologize to everyone who might have sent me mails or comments in these past few months. I've replied to nearly no emails at all and just the most recent comments.
I intend on going through the backlog to reply to everyone, since I love talking to you about impro or other topics.
While I'm planning to release the little video series going through the bach inventions (referring to: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW...) every 14 days, I'm thinking of also interleaving some more general music related videos in the in between weeks; I plan on covering musical topics still but maybe exploring some slightly different things. Don't worry, we won't do makeup tutorials or shirtless workouts haha ;-)
However, don't hesitate to tell me on any new video you see if you'd like to see more -or importantly- *less* of this type of video!
That's all for me! Many thanks and my apologies again,
Happy practice,

Hey everyone! In preparation of a little series of videos, I just had a few general questions; Of course since polls suck, feel free not to answer or to answer the "additional answer" i've made sure to include to drive away the corporate taste of polls away from us ;-)
Question: Do you play a musical instrument and if yes, which one:

Woohoo!
Let me use the fancy new unlocked community tab to sincerely thank everyone here for listening, interacting and improvising music :-) I'm honored by the 1k subs, and by the overall support I've received <3
I've recently been unable to post because of various idiotic issues.
However, I'm planning to get back into the rhythm with a little series of tutorial videos, and I'll use this community tab to do a poll to this effect very soon ;-)
Thanks again, godspeed, and always stay improvising.

I like to improvise music!
I often improvise in a baroque like style, and try to work on polyphonic improvisations.
Feel free to take a look at the various things I've improvised, maybe there's something you can use in your creative process?
I also want to encourage the practice of improvisation, and will strive to produce content helping people learn more about it.
