Who new purple corn could be so delicious! New video up, where I introduce you to a delicious Peruvian drink called Chicha Morada.

In case you missed it, I also posted the first video in my fermenting with food waste series (Just Ferment It!), and an interview about making and selling an alcohol brand.

AUDIO FIXED! I've reposted the video with better audio now. https://youtu.be/9a76GznznH0?si=So1uf...

Hi all! I was a guest speaker at the inaugural Canadian Whisky Symposium on October 25th in Vancouver, BC. My presentation was all about whiskey congeners in fermentation and distillation. Since I started out in brewing, I see a lot of similarities between beer and whisky making, so it's a 2 in 1 presentation about whiskey congeners and beer off flavours. Here is my presentation.

Hey everyone! I can't believe it has been so long since I posted. Sorry about that🥲. Since my last video, I have travelled to India for work where I helped a distillery formulate some gin recipes. I have been a speaker at the inaugural Canada Whisky Symposium, and I also learned how to roast my own coffee beans in a popcorn maker. Excited to show you all the things that I have been up to these past few months. Will be furiously working on editing and releasing all the videos in the upcoming weeks, and I will be returning to a regular weekly posting schedule.💕💕

Anyhoo ...New video up! I have been wanting to try making my own moonshine pickles since I first tried one in Tennessee. You can eat the pickles and drink the boozy pickle brine by themselves. The brine is also great for Bloody Mary cocktails. I did notice that the pickles had a bit of a strong alcoholic bitterness to them after steeping in the brine for 1.5 to 2 months, so I would only replace 1/3 of the pickle brine with vodka. In the video I originally replaced 1/2 the brine with vodka, which I think is too much now. 😊

New video up! I was taste testing some instant Mexican atole drinks. I'm trying out some new "non-alcoholic" video ideas to try to produce more videos more frequently. Would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions or comments.

Hey all! Long time no post. I've been hard at work creating a new distillation course which is finally out now. I'm just getting back to making videos. Can't believe this is only my first video of 2023, yikes! I passed my IBD Module 3 exam and have officially earned my diploma in distilling. Glad that's over and done with, it was absolutely horrible studying for it. Check out my new video about taking the module 3 exam.

New video up! If you've ever opened up a can of beer and found it tasted like cat-pee or stale cardboard, find out why. I go over some common-off flavours in beer.
