With falling GPU prices due to a multitude of factors, there's no better time than now to be in the market for a new graphics card!

If you're on the lookout for an AMD-powered graphics card that is great for 1440p gaming, the RX 6700 XT and RX 6750 XT would probably be on your radar - question is, which of these two should you get?

I've had the opportunity to test cards powered by both GPUs - and depending on pricing, the older 6700 XT could actually represent better value versus its successor!

Radeon RX 6700 XT test: https://youtu.be/PFnnliaGVh8 (MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT MECH 2X 12G OC)
Radeon RX 6750 XT test: https://youtu.be/e-EZU48P_uY (ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6750 XT OC Edition 12GB GDDR6)

Where you guys are from, how are the prices like for the 6700 XT and 6750 XT? Would it make financial sense to get the 6750 brand new, especially since the performance gains over the 6700 XT can be considered...incremental at best?

For you folks out there still on the stock AMD and Intel CPU coolers, the ID-COOLING SE-226-XT Black is a surprisingly capable and affordable aftermarket CPU cooler that could even help you eke out additional performance from your PC. This is especially if you are facing processor cooling issues with sky-high temperatures on the stock cooler - like I did, with my Ryzen 5 3600 processor where I consistently achieved temperatures of more than 90 degrees Celsius under load. This resulted in thermal throttling, which impaired the performance of my PC.

Plus, the SE-226-XT now boasts support for the upcoming AMD AM5 platform and its accompanying Ryzen 7000 series of processors, further helping its case with future-proofness.

Check out the article and video review of this CPU cooler below:

Good things do come in small packages - and the small package in question is the Phoenix GeForce RTX 3060 V2 12GB GDDR6 by ASUS. If you're looking to build a small form factor (e.g. Mini ITX) PC with some serious graphics chops, this might well be the graphics card for you. Check out ALKtech's review of this card below:

Thinking of building an entry-level Intel 12th Generation Alder Lake PC for basic tasks such as internet surfing and office productivity work? The Gigabyte H610M H DDR4 might well be the motherboard for such a build. Check out the ALKtech article and video covering this board here:

What do you guys think of such boards powered by the entry-level Intel H610 chipset? Given its specs, would you rather spend the additional money to get a board powered by the mid-range Intel B660 chipset instead?

Hello everyone! Really excited to have unlocked the community feature for crossing the 500 subscriber mark - this wouldn't have been possible without the support of YOU GUYS!

Have y'all ever cheaped out, and bought PC components for below retail price from "unconventional" sources? I just did - with a brand new AMD Ryzen 5 5600 that I scored for S$247 Singapore dollars (~US$177 for you international folks).

For some context, a Ryzen 5 5600 goes for around S$299 (~US$215) from authorised online/offline retailers in Singapore - I got mine from a third party seller on an eCommerce platform in Singapore that had...decent reviews. What's scary though, was the fact that while the seller had good reviews, there were a handful of negative ones which said that their processors came in a plastic clamshell without the retail box. All in the name of penny pinching, I decided to take the plunge nonetheless...and wound up with a brand new sealed-in-box Chinese-market Ryzen 5 5600 - evident from the Chinese words on the packaging!

It all panned out well though - the processor works great and is legit! Seems like the seller probably got a hold of brand new grey market/parallel imported processors...

How about you guys? Ever had a horror story arise all the name of cost savings while buying new PC parts?

P.S did an unboxing video of the said processor https://youtu.be/ewe_QGblRxk - in the meantime, keep a lookout for an upcoming video where I pit the 5600 against its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 3600!
