All the commercials posted here were captured directly from VHS tapes that have been kept in my family for 35 years. My father used to tape shows he liked directly from live TV, but (thankfully) he was too lazy to stop recording during the commercials, and they are very entertaining to watch now. They are either funny, awkward, or even controversial - and all are just plain dated. I'm putting them online in part to share them, but also to preserve them in case anything happens to the tapes. I'm also looking into improving the quality of the recordings - suggestions are welcome.
