I have just spent some of my Sunday morning watching the most touching, brave and honest documentary I have seen in many years. It's not just a documentary about an inventor of a synthesiser, it's the story of a life, of family, of relationships, of hurt, of loss, of someone who tragically passed away way too young and of those who survived him. Most of all, it is about a young woman, daughter and as it turns out a very talented film-maker who has crafted such a wonderful and very personal story. Congratulations Alison, you have made a masterpiece. As well as being rightfully proud of what your dad achieved you should be extremely proud of what you have achieved too.

It's been a very long time, but I'm finally back recording videos again. The first one is a video I shot for Cherry Audio to introduce their latest product. Announcement re. Korg User Oscillators for Prologue, Minilogue XD and NTS-1 Synthesisers
As some of you may be aware, I developed a number of DSP algorithms for the "logue" range of Korg synthesisers and have posted videos about them here on my channel.
After a lot of deliberation I have decided to cease selling these "user oscillator" algorithms online. There are numerous reasons, some personal, some practical, but maintaining the website and associated commerce capability costs far more than the revenue I am receiving from current sales. It's also becoming a support headache for me since Korg introduced the NTS-1 MkII which is not in any way backwardly compatible.
It has been a truly great experience to develop and market these DSP algorithms over the years but now is the time to bring this chapter to a close. If you have bought any of my Korg user oscillator products over the years then I would like to take this opportunity to thank you very sincerely for your support, without it I would have given up a long time ago. I very much hope there will be an opportunity for another project in the future where I can develop similarly creative and engaging music tools.
I'm going to be closing my Sellfy store for Korg User Oscillators on 31st August 2024 and from 1st October onwards will not provide further support for them. However I will leave my videos online as they may be of some use to existing owners of these products.

TELEGRAM Scam
There is a bogus YouTube account pretending to be me and leaving messages for people in the comments section of my videos. Those messages announce that you have won a prize and ask you to follow me on Telegram.
I do NOT have a Telegram account. That person is NOT me.
I have blocked and reported the bogus account here on YT but am concerned at how many people may have been tricked. Over 100 of these messages were left on my channel. Please do not give any personal information to this person.

Dreadbox Nymphes Firmware Update v2
The good news: It's great to see Dreadbox improving their synth and adding new features.
The bad news: They have completely changed the MIDI CC implementation of the synth beyond recognition. Of the 80+ MIDI CC messages that Nymphes supports, only 5 of them retain the same function as they had in the v1 firmware. The result is that my NymphCC and NymphCV controllers will not work AT ALL if you upgrade your Nymphes synth. I am now working as fast as I can on a new version of those software products, I'll let you know once they are complete, tested and approved for use on the Voltage Modular platform. This may take some days.
