Talkable aims to support parents, educators and anyone caring for kids to have the skills, knowledge and confidence to promote and enhance their child's language development through strategies that are backed by science. This channel covers a range of topics including language development, speech sound development, baby and toddler developmental milestones, toddler behaviour and baby sign language. It also shares activities that will promote language development.
Karen Nitsche is a speech-language pathologist, researcher and creator of the Talkable program. She is passionate about best-practice in the area of early language development. She understands the important role that parents and educators have to play in fostering language learning and strives to support them on this journey.
