Unfortunately, we lost my oldest and one of my most friendly female gliders. Dahlia's abscess turned out to be kidney related (much like what took my first glider from me), and she was unable to pull through. Photo of her from a year ago with her stunning mosaic son (lost my good quality photos of her when I got a new phone). While gliders can live up to 20 years, their natural lifespan in the wild is more like 2-5 years and as a result their systems aren't used to living past that in some cases which is why freak incidents like this hit certain gliders.
