Well I just had a death threat by someone and Youtube wont do anything about it. The email content "NoooooooooooooooooOoooooooooh, Im going to kill you and delete your videos erase Your YouTube channel and I curse that colorization from where you came from. Screw you."
So they want me to delete my channel or they will kill me. Sent the email screenshot to Youtube, sent the headers etc, the email used to send the threat is a Gmail address, the Gmail account is live as it comes up using my Gmail account as a profile without a photo but the name matches the email address, so 100% a live Gmail account.
There are some really sick people in the world. I have not replied to the email, I am looking at ways to report it. I know the police in the UK wont do anything because they haven't posted hatey words on social media. Also, I am not allowed to post their email address anywhere, it's against their "privacy".

Still not heard anything from YouTube about the "Privacy Complaint". Also views and reach are still rock bottom. Thumbs down within minutes of uploading a video that's over an hour long (at 4 minutes, the viewer hasn't even got to the film). I will upload 3 to 4 films a month for now, if things change, I will work as hard as I was before, 2 to 3 per weekend, but I don't have much faith that things will turn around for the channel. The reason I will continue with uploading 3 to 4 per month, rather than just quit completely, is because I have some amazing subscribers and many of you enjoy the movies. If it wasn't for you, this channel would have stopped back in March. If YouTube removes monetisation, I will need to stop though, I do need to cover costs at least.

Back in February, my channel lost around 80% views within one day and has not recovered. I was told by YouTube, nothing has changed and nothing wrong with my channel. According to GROK on X with pointers to many sources, there was an algorithm change back in February that favoured the bigger channels over the smaller channels. This is what GROK had to say
"Based on reports from creators (e.g., vidIQ, Reddit, Medium), the Feb 2025 update emphasized personalized recommendations, which often favors established channels with more data—leading to 50-80% view drops for many small creators like you. YouTube's denial aligns with their PR, but evidence suggests inconsistencies."
I will do further research and grab more info. I have a thread on X that has been re-posted by some big accounts.
I have also explained to YouTube about my findings and for me to continue, I want 80% traffic back and transparency on the "Privacy Complaint", nobody in YouTube will give me any info.
I will fight this all the way, even if it means losing my channel. I don't like big tech screwing over the small business which they do time and time again. If I do lose my channel, it is more fuel for the fire. ;)

I have a copy of every upload on my channel, I will be uploading everything somewhere else. YouTube and me are finished, their treatment of me and many other content creators is simply disgusting.

So someone has reported my channel for "Privacy Concerns". What an absolute load of bullsh!t! I spoke to Youtube and they can't provide any information. The link is not a video it is to my channel profile. So we have another malicious person or competitor with nothing better to do but try and close my channel down.
Let them win, sod it, sick of fighting against fake copyright claims, malicious comments, competitors doing the thumbs down and now this bullsh!t.

I work hard restoring old movies (I don't download and upload from the archive, I download and restore and upload to Youtube) and make drone and time-lapse videos. I also make noise with instruments and have a couple of songs published, nodules and looking after my disabled son as a single parent has quite much put an end to my rock and roll days for the foreseeable future, but I wouldn't change a thing. My kids are my life, I work hard to provide for them and every day is a blessing to be with them.
