Some of you may have noticed, if you read the description in the 10-Yard Fight video I posted up. But I'm going to be challenging myself to get through every licensed NES game released in the US, if possible, and put together a review of each! This is a massive challenge, but I'm looking forward to it.

I'm going in order of release date, or as close to it as possible, so keep an eye out for a bunch more content in the next few months. They'll be shorter reviews, but I think it'll be an interesting way to look at how NES games developed and evolved, and maybe we'll find a few new gems! After all - there are over 600 of these to get through. (Pray for me..)

There's a sweet new video coming out tomorrow morning! Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus on the PS2. Awesome gameplay, great music, a really fun story - and a smartass main character! What's not to like? Check it out tomorrow, 4/2 at 5am PST. Let's see if Sly and Carmelita ever really find the love they're looking for! That's not what the video is about, but what if it was?

New video drops tomorrow morning!! Tenchu: Stealth Assassins on the PS1. Starts out great, gets a little weird, and still manages to be a blast to play. Check it out tomorrow 3/19 @ 5am PST and let's see if we can find out what makes this game tick (spoiler alert: it isn't the blood and gore but like... that's a part of it).

I guess it's a good time for an update!! I've been working on a lot of things, not the least of which was about 6 months learning the basics of game development. I never really intended to finish or launch a game myself, this was more an exercise in learning the *how* behind a lot of the games I love. And it's been an eye-opening experience to say the least! I have more respect for game developers now than I ever have. But I feel like I've probably learned enough now to put that project to bed for a while.

I've also been back to working on my own chiptune/8-bit music which I have always done behind the scenes (I even used a few of my tracks on my videos!) and while I might not ever put that stuff up on this channel, it's always a possibility. So if you like new tracks in that space and you see if/when something goes up, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I will say there's a new SayItIsntJoe theme song coming with new content soon (see below) so.. hope you all dig it.

But most importantly, I'm coming back to new content on Youtube! Very excited to get back to running through some of the classic games I haven't been able to work on. My hope, as always, is to have fun discussions about the games we know and love (or hate) and maybe help some folks discover games they didn't know about. That's all I really ever want to do on my channel, and you've all helped make this a great place to work toward that goal. I'm super excited to get back to work.

So with that, stay tuned in the coming weeks for some fresh content! I already have a few games in the pre-production stage, and while I probably won't ever be back to posting a new video each week (that was nuts since I work full time, too), I hope to keep making stuff you all enjoy. Let me know if you have any games you'd like to see me cover, and thank you - each and every one of you - for being a part of this journey. See you all again real soon!!

I realized I hadn't updated the channel recently, but I am on a hiatus for a little bit. I should be able to put up some new content before the end of this year, just working on some other projects at the moment. Thanks for being here and I'll update soon!

Heads up on the next video!! Anyone ever play Golgo 13: Top Secret Mission on the NES? This 1988 action game broke the mold in more ways than one, and was a genuine tribute to (and maybe even a bit of a mockery of) the James Bond spy films. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you're gonna want to see this.

It's easily one of the more difficult games I've ever played, has a *ton* of interesting stuff going on, from scuba diving to sniping from a helicopter and even steamy love scenes! We're gonna look deeper to see if it's a cult classic or just a blip in 80s gaming history. I'm hoping to have the review video done this week so stay tuned ~

I have a new indie review dropping Tuesday at 12am PST! This one is really exciting, it's a game that releases the same day the video goes live, called Yaoling Mythical Journey. It's a really interesting RPG meets monster-tamer with some crafting mechanics, a unique approach to battles, and the graphics and music are top tier. I think you'll enjoy it so stay tuned for the video drop Tuesday!

My next indie review is going to be a fun little game called Maki's Adventure! I just finished it last night, and while it's definitely not a long play, it was a lot of fun and pretty impressive for being basically one man's work. Hopefully I'll have the video up this week, so you can see if you want to give this one a spin. Thanks to everyone for all your support!! <3

I completely forgot to shoot out a message, but my latest review on Ninja Gaiden on the NES is now live! It's a classic game and I don't know too many people who haven't loved it, but I wanted to get into exactly why it's so great when all the little parts on their own don't stand out.. check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSg7t... watch video on watch page

I'll be starting up another playlist on the channel specifically dedicated to retro-inspired indie games soon. I thought I'd give everyone a heads up so they're not confused as to what those videos were about - same idea, same honest reviews, but I want to help support indie developers as my little channel grows. Hope you're all excited to see some of these new games! If you have any indie titles you've seen in the last year or two you'd like to see reviewed, let me know~
