Even small milestones are meant to be celebrated! ⭐️We hit 3k on our YouTube this week!

The notification buzzed on my phone while we explored Oaxaca, Mexico, where we living for 5-weeks.

We started our channel over 2 years ago to capture our memories on beautiful hikes. If people watched, it was a bonus!

As many #youtubevloggers know, it’s hard work! It takes us over 20+ hours…and sometimes more to edit one video. To all the other YouTubers out there, it’s not an easy road, but it teaches you a lot about yourself, and your partner, and tests your patience 😅

Our channel started with our travel trailer and a YouTube live on financial independence. Then we published our first vlog, our summit attempt on Mount Rainier, which is still one of our top videos. We still remember hitting that publish button. It still makes us nervous after 2-years to hit that button ▶️

We are still releasing 2 to 3 videos per month on our adventures, though we are 4-months behind in editing. We have a #biggoal to hit 🎥 1,000,000 channel views this year.

Follow us @HelenandTimTravel for hiking adventures, travel tips, and to follow our #fulltimetravel journey 🥾

Thanks for your support!

We need your help! We are looking for 2024 travel recommendations for budget friendly countries next year 😆 We aren’t sure how long we will stay on the road, but we are slowing down and want to spend 1 to 2 months in each country we visit next year. Some places we have in mind: Mexico, Albania, Morocco, Portugal, Montenegro, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Vietnam, and Philippines.

Let us know in the comments your thoughts on those places or any ideas ⬇️

💳We want to share 4 of our favorite credit cards to earn points and miles!

Let us know in the comments which travel credit cards are in your wallet ☁️

1️⃣ Capital One Venture X: Our go-to for earning 2x points on our everyday spend including groceries, fuel, and other non-bonus categories. Other benefits include travel and primary car rental insurance and lounge access.

2️⃣ Chase Sapphire Reserve: We put the majority of our travel like hotels and flights on this card because we earn 3x for all travel-related expenses and we get access to benefits like primary car rental insurance, best-in-class trip delay/cancellation insurance, and Priority Pass airport lounge and restaurant access. Plus it earns 3x points at restaurants worldwide!

3️⃣ American Express Platinum: Enjoy all of the perks of luxury travel with this credit card. It includes access to a network of over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide, complimentary gold status with Marriott and Hilton hotels, elite car rental status, a $200 airline fee credit and it earns 5x points when booking directly with airlines.

4️⃣ American Express Gold: Turn your everyday grocery spending into incredible travel experiences. This card earns an amazing 4x points on grocery spend at U.S. supermarkets and 4x points at restaurants worldwide.

Earning credit card points and miles can help you unlock amazing travel opportunities including free flights and hotel stays. Using these credit cards for travel hacking saved over $40,000 in flights this year!!!

Remember to approach travel hacking wisely and plan your finances responsibly. Make sure to always pay off your credit card in full each month 🗓️ We set ours on autopay, so we never forget, but we do look at our accounts at least once or twice per week.

✈️ Follow Helen and Tim Travel for more points and miles tips!

🚀 We will be launching a points and miles guide with coaching opportunities in the future! Sign-up to be the first ones to know in our newsletter at www.helenandtimtravel.com

We made it to country #6! We will be Bulgaria🇧🇬 for 3 weeks attending Nomad Fest, hiking the beautiful mountains of Rila National Park, and soaking in hot springs in cute mountain towns.

Bansko is a popular ski town. It’s very affordable in the summer. You can find apartments for less than $900 Bulgarian Lev ($500 USD) per month and eating out is usually between $2 to $10 USD per meal.

We found a delicious Bulgarian restaurant in the capital city of Sofia and had delicious kebapche, spiced minced meat (beef, pork, or a combination of both) shaped into small sausages. We took a 2.5 hour bus ride from Sofia to Bansko for $24 USD.

Alright, we are never coming home! 🤪 We are in love with Lake Garda and the town of Torbole. Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and is nestled at the gateway of the Italian Dolomites. It is GORGEOUS here! This Dolomites have been on our dream list for many years. We only have a few days here but hope to come back near the end of summer to avoid high season.

Is there a place you have visited and said to yourself, “I could live here?” 🏠
