My adventure in Japanese music continued tonight, this time with @FujiiKaze in SF. Tonight's show was meant to be an after show to his Outside Lands performance this weekend... before the festival, lol. It was a great show and his music is awesome. Hope you like it too!

Let me be clear: I'm not a metal fan. I've been buying music for many, many years, and you won't find a single metal CD or metal mp3 in my collection. So how did I end up at a metal concert the other night? Specifically, a @BABYMETAL concert? Well, a combination of several factors: I love Japanese culture and have been learning the language on my own, and a lack of good concerts in July. (The SF prices for Lady Gaga are just too insane) So that's how I ended up seeing BABYMETAL and I have to admit that I had a great time as it was a fun show. Even the two openers - @Bloodywood and @JinjerMetalBand- were entertaining. So am I gonna get into metal? Hmmm... I don't think so. But if BABYMETAL comes by again, count me in. Enjoy the show!

While vacationing in France, I had the opportunity to watch a budding singer-songwriter. No, not Ed Sheeran. I mean, I did see Ed's concert and he was amazing, but he's well established and far from budding, lol. I mean my nephew Liham and his new band, Majesty. We caught them in a home studio, playing some new songs and some cover songs. They had only been together as a band for two weeks at that point, so the music is still raw and clearly a work in progress. But check them out and leave them some love and feedback in the comments!

What to do on a Friday night in the very north of France? Well, how about checking out night one of Ed Sheeran's two sold out concerts in Lille, France, at the Decathlon Arena! What an amazing show! I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on this concert as Ed just converted me from casual fan to actual fan. Full concert vid up in a couple of days, although chaptering two hours and 45 minutes (!!!) without a laptop presents a challenge... @EdSheeran #edsheeran

I saw an amazing set from Lauren Mayberry last night at The Fillmore in SF. It was the last stop on her Vicious Creatures tour, although she is playing at Bottlerock today. In case you don't know, she's the lead vocalist for @CHVRCHES one of my favorite bands. It was great to hear her confirmation that they are working on album #5. So excited! What made the night more memorable was that she sang two Chvrches songs during the VIP preshow. Made my night, even before the actual set, lol. What a Saturday night. I just came back from seeing Lights, a Canadian pop star whose music is amazing. I've been riding with her since her second album, Siberia, came out in 2011. Her sixth album, A6, just came out a few weeks ago and it's amazing. Seeing her for the second time tonight was an incredible experience. It was made even more incredible by befriending fellow fans who made the night more memorable with their stories and laughter. Special shout out to Cody, Ashley, and Britt, y'all we're awesome! Major props also to the fan who gave out friendship bracelets with song titles in them. I was a... lucky one... to get the one with my favorite song, Don't Go Home Without Me. 🙏 Until next time! So last night I got to see a show that featured @alisaxayalithmeetsworld and @sunday1994forever - both were amazing! Sunday (1994) were gracious enough to stay and meet with anyone who wanted to meet them after the show. Very cool of them! Thanks to both artists for the excellent show.

I love going to concerts, & I try to capture cinematic shots of the performances, so they can be viewed on your TV. What kind of music do I like? I grew up on MJ & Madonna, so for me, pop music rules all. But I love a wide variety of music, from Pearl Jam to Laufey to Chvrches - I love discovering new music & new artists.
